saintchrizzal Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 I picked up my coach tickets yesterday for my dad and I however, we're on different coaches despite putting eachothers season ticket number on our application forms. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know if that also means we won't be next to eachother in the ground?
Spudders Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 I expect it's a tactical poly by the plod to ensure we all sit quietly next to people we don't know on the buses. Minimizing comfort, enjoyment and conversation (it's for our own safety don't ya know).
Hatch Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 I think they are putting all the young fit sturdy 18 to 30 yr olds on the lead coaches . First into battle and all that.
Chorlton Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 I think they are putting all the young fit sturdy 18 to 30 yr olds on the lead coaches . First into battle and all that. I am 38 but still fancy myself as a bit tasty. Can I go in one of the lead coaches? However, I will be travelling from Winchester so our Battle Bus may be on its own anyway.
warsash saint Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 Saints ticket office beginning to make BT customer service look first rate !!
JRM Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 there is no way anyone will go to their designated seats anyway, people will pile in the ground and stand with their mates so wouldn't worry too much about the match ticket, but would be annoying to be split up from mates on the coach
Noodles34 Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 do you have to have an email to pick up the coach tickets? Had the money taken, online history and all that, but no email, do i need it or just show up with the ST's? Can i get them after the Blackpool game?
Spudders Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 Maybe we'll all make new friends on the buses........ ..........Friend, football friend.
Toomer Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 do you have to have an email to pick up the coach tickets? Had the money taken, online history and all that, but no email, do i need it or just show up with the ST's? Can i get them after the Blackpool game? I would just in case or at least make a note of the order number, I printed my e-mail and took it with me they asked me to confirm my address and postcode took them about 5 mins to sort it.
Orange Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 So we don't even get to sit next to our mates, as for when you get in the ground just go wherever, how it usually is on away games.
Nexstar Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 For goodness sake, it's not difficult to organise tickets so applicants are on the same coach down. Or apparently it is. People had better sit where they want in the ground
mikee Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 But I thought we were only getting given our match tickets on the coach. How is that going to work if the party is split up? Bizzare
Spades Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 Phoned the ticket office today and they said tickets can be picked up from Thursday (tomorrow) so either the ticket office was telling porkies or people on here are...?...
The9 Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 (edited) Phoned the ticket office today and they said tickets can be picked up from Thursday (tomorrow) so either the ticket office was telling porkies or people on here are...?... People have already picked up their bus tickets... As for the OP, the fact he's said they put each others' numberS on their application formS (plural) is why he's on a different bus to his dad. If they'd sent one application with both names on it they'd probably be on the same bus. No guarantees of course, fewer buses = more profit for the club and there may be the odd one or two separated just to fill the bus. Edited 7 December, 2011 by The9
saintrich Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 So is it confirmed whether it's going to be a normal coach or a bus?
The9 Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 So is it confirmed whether it's going to be a normal coach or a bus? Mr Steve Grant seems fairly sure they're double-deckers.
Michelle Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 Tickets make two mentions of "bus". Not a "coach" in sight. We are all now officially "on the bus", as Nigel would put it.

But we filled out two forms, each with our own number as well as eachothers to make sure the ticket office got at least one of ours, thinking that they would be piled up with applications. That should have made no difference to the bus/coach ticketing. No worries, just hope it's not the same situation in the ground. Been to 4 away games this year and the only one that wasn't allocated seating was Bristol City. Reading, Palace and Coventry were allocated seats.
NN2 Saint Posted 8 December, 2011 Posted 8 December, 2011 One of ours had the incorrect name put on the application ticket office error tho. We are on bus 5 from St Marys now just gotta make sure we can find somewhere open in town for breakfast and a few beers before the trip
LGTL Posted 8 December, 2011 Posted 8 December, 2011 Our load of 20 lads appear to have taken over bus 4
