Golden Balls Posted 7 December, 2011 Posted 7 December, 2011 Big game players JPT Final Brighton last season Plymouth last season Walsall last season In fact, pretty much the whole run in last season West Ham this season Brighton this season 'Boro this season Leeds this season Ipswich this season Birmingham this season All these games were perceived as big games, and we won them all. Then we have games such as Donny, Coventry, Bristol City etc. We struggled to get up for these it seems. Hopefully the players see this as big a game as we do and NA can get them up for it. Because when we're up for it, we're near on unstoppable. most of those are home games which misses the point really, they won't have been intimidated like they'll be at Fratton and the shocker we had in 2005, i am yet to be convinced we have the fight in the team for it , especially without Chaplow, unfortunately i can see a 1-0 defeat, with us failing to score again like Bristol City and Doncaster Most of them are home games? 40% of them were away, including a game at Wembley which is a lot more daunting than Fratton. And that doesn't include 'In fact, pretty much the whole run in last season' would include away games. We've only really had 1 (so called) big team away this season and that was Leicester. I was there an we battered them, unfortunately we came across a keeper in top form! Like I say, big game players. If they are up for it. We will win.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 8 December, 2011 Posted 8 December, 2011 It really is a worry, will our players be able to cope with the electric atmosphere and the intimidation from their passionate fans?

saints_is_the_south Posted 8 December, 2011 Posted 8 December, 2011 The Skates have 4 players currently on 4 yellows - Ben Haim, Halford, Norris & Varney. Be good if they all picked up another at the weekend and were missing for the derby, Norris in particular.

Channon's Sideburns Posted 8 December, 2011 Posted 8 December, 2011 Ben Haim as well, he has been their best player apprantly. Ben Haim won't be playing by then...too expensive. Wave 105 had something on earlier about Lawrence heading for Forest as well in Jan. They won't risk him as well. Positivity is all that is required.
View From The Top Posted 8 December, 2011 Posted 8 December, 2011 Ben Haim as well, he has been their best player apprantly. Not playing due to the costs he incurs apparently. Guess we'll know Saturday if that is true or not.

Prince Jazzbo Posted 8 December, 2011 Posted 8 December, 2011 It really is a worry, will our players be able to cope with the electric atmosphere and the intimidation from their passionate fans? John Westwood and Brian Eastwood.....?
Amesbury Saint Posted 11 December, 2011 Posted 11 December, 2011 Heard this evening that the Pompey new manager is on the verge of quitting & the WBA loanees are going back after Saturday as they can't afford them. With our away form it might be evenly matched now. Who would want to take over Pompey next? predictions still going to happen?
