dannysfc Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 Have just watched some of The One Show as Coldplay were on and I swear that one of them was a Saints fan as I didn't know whether they were or not and this made me think that I had forgotten who are famous celebrity Saints fans were as I knew that Lucy Pinder was!?! Thanks! COYR !!!
supergoose Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 I'm pretty certain that I saw Sky Sports pundit Matthew LeTissier in a replica saints shirt once.
fatpix2003 Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 The drummer from coldplay and his dad are both season tickets holders, and tiff needell is definitely as I spoke to him walking up wembley way at the jot final
supergoose Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 Mary Whitehouse, Dolly Parton and Timmy Mallet.
Appy Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 James Haddock, Golf reporter on SSN, used to be commentator on "The Saint" DannySFC MAtE!!!
stardustonmyfeet Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 http://ffsp.railwayinn.me.uk/ I can spot a few ones that shouldn't really be on there but I'll leave that for others to mention. I definitely recall Christian O'Connell on his radio show a few months ago saying something along the lines of not being bothered to support Saints as they weren't in the Premiership any more. Lame!
SNSUN Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 Me. Remember reading about the "biggest penis in the world"? Yours truly. (And yes, I am massive cock too.)
stu0x Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 I can spot a few ones that shouldn't really be on there but I'll leave that for others to mention. I definitely recall Christian O'Connell on his radio show a few months ago saying something along the lines of not being bothered to support Saints as they weren't in the Premiership any more. Lame! Then he was joking. OC is always banging on about Saints. He does a short segment with Ian Wright every week as Wrighty also does a show on Absolute, and they spend most of their time winding each other up about Arsenal and Saints.
VectisSaint Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 The drummer from coldplay and his dad are both season tickets holders, and tiff needell is definitely as I spoke to him walking up wembley way at the jot final I sense the hand of Will Champion (Coldplay drummer for those that don't know) in the lyrics of Us Against the World on the Mylo Xyloto album, the second verse specifically.
John Boy Saint Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 I remember someone having a chat with Claire Balding while she was having a smoke on the Itchen Concourse: so not on the prawn sandwich seats.
St.JonB Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 The bloke from Pointless that provides all the stats. Big Saints fan.
ericb Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 I grew up with Will and can definitely confirm he's a saints fan, haven't seen him in a while so i don't know if he still goes though.
dannysfc Posted 1 December, 2011 Author Posted 1 December, 2011 And have thought of another one who I bumped into at one of the home games whether you like him or not is Labour MP John Denham who is one of the one's for Southampton!!!
ericb Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 Both of our local mp's are season ticket holders at st marys (and where at the dell too) and Alan Whitehead had a massive hand in getting St Mary's going in the first place.
SNSUN Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 The bloke from Pointless that provides all the stats. Big Saints fan. Nope, he's a Fulham season ticket holder.
The Cat Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 Iwan Thomas. Saw him in the away end at Bolton on a tuesday night. John Inverdale Craig Charles used to watch Saints a lot when he lived in Bursledon but doesn't support us. That bloke on ITN news. Gavyn Davies.
St.JonB Posted 1 December, 2011 Posted 1 December, 2011 Nope, he's a Fulham season ticket holder. I was watching an old episode of Pointless on Dave or something the other day and he claimed his love for Southampton and his hurt about them being in Division 3 (it was a few years old). Not something you can change is it?
the saint in winchester Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 I sense the hand of Will Champion (Coldplay drummer for those that don't know) in the lyrics of Us Against the World on the Mylo Xyloto album, the second verse specifically. I did wonder about that, too.
The9 Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 I bet he's been waiting years to get "when the Saints go marching in" into a lyric somewhere. "Chris, Chris, can we do it in THIS song? " There was Yellow as well, like the 2003 Cup Final, it was all yellow. Whatever happened to him?
Tamesaint Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 And have thought of another one who I bumped into at one of the home games whether you like him or not is Labour MP John Denham who is one of the one's for Southampton!!! He sat next to me at MKD last year.
JustMike Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 I sense the hand of Will Champion (Coldplay drummer for those that don't know) in the lyrics of Us Against the World on the Mylo Xyloto album, the second verse specifically. Haha yes! Does make me smile when I hear it
Professor Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 Peter White - Winchester born Saint's fan and broadcaster. Always ready to declare his allegiance to the Saints .
sussexsaint Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 Sue Barker, remember her declaring herself during our relegation season hoped 'Harry could turn it around' season ticket holder she claimed to be at the time. LOL at Gus Poyet
saintbob40 Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 Rod Hull's emu...although he has been struggling to get to games recently....the plastic ...!
MatthewStiles Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 Benny Hill was from Southampton so I reckon we can count him. The Men They Couldn't Hang (not so famous now but still going) were from Southampton too.
1976_Child Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 I'm pretty certain that I saw Sky Sports pundit Matthew LeTissier in a replica saints shirt once. Bravo! That did make me LOL !!
1976_Child Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 http://ffsp.railwayinn.me.uk/ Well Alan Whitehead has to say he supports Saints doesn't he! Can't exactly knock on your door come election time and tell you he supports the Skates.
krissyboy31 Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 Well Alan Whitehead has to say he supports Saints doesn't he! Can't exactly knock on your door come election time and tell you he supports the Skates. Couldn't you vote for Caroline Dineage instead?
SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 Ken Rusell (rip),We are Jeff Stellings 2nd team,TCWTB and me. A legend in my own underpants!!
richardc Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 http://ffsp.railwayinn.me.uk/ Brilliant went to look for Brighton as that's where I live couldn't find them under championship teams but found them under league 1 - there'll be happy
alehouseboys Posted 2 December, 2011 Posted 2 December, 2011 Both of our local mp's are season ticket holders at st marys (and where at the dell too) and Alan Whitehead had a massive hand in getting St Mary's going in the first place. Turkish is just gonna lurve this thread...
