Dr Who? Posted 29 November, 2011 Share Posted 29 November, 2011 (edited) Now I am not saying we are going to do this, but the record is now getting close, so I thought I would bring it up. It would be a fantastic record to beat. Most consecutive home wins: 25, Bradford Park Avenue (Third Division North, 1926–27). A very long standing record!! Blackpool Palace Bristol City Maybe FA Cup Home (to equal the record) Leicester (to equal or beat the record) Cardiff (To beat the record if away in the FA Cup. Will be interesting to see if we can beat the 85 year record!! COYR!!! Edited 29 November, 2011 by Dr Who? 85 not 84 year record

Saint Garrett Posted 29 November, 2011 Share Posted 29 November, 2011 It's certainly do-able... None will be 'easy games' though.
EBS1980 Posted 29 November, 2011 Share Posted 29 November, 2011 is it 25 league games the record or just 25 competitive games?
Dr Who? Posted 29 November, 2011 Author Share Posted 29 November, 2011 Slightly amended for you! Thank you.... but I want the ALL time record, as I am gready. Will this post war one be reconised in the record books? Still impressive now even if we do not make it!! Also I think it is 85 years
Dr Who? Posted 29 November, 2011 Author Share Posted 29 November, 2011 is it 25 league games the record or just 25 competitive games? This is not 100% clear, but I think it is just 25 competitive games.
sfc4prem Posted 29 November, 2011 Share Posted 29 November, 2011 Either way we've done exceptionally well. Who would've thought we'd be talking about this after getting dicked by MK Dons in Adkins first game......
VectisSaint Posted 29 November, 2011 Share Posted 29 November, 2011 I believe the record is 25 consecutive league wins (it is a Football League record, so would not include the FA Cup), so another 6 to go to equal Bradford PA (team with same name that lost to Totton 8-1). Solent were wittering on about beating Liverpool's record tonight, but not clear what record that is. Amazing to think that the last team to win against us at SMS in the league was the mighty Rochdale!!

Badger Posted 29 November, 2011 Share Posted 29 November, 2011 Wasn't it Brentford ? Think Liverpools record is 21 home league wins post war Yes, Brentford last December. If we avoid losing to Blackpool it will be 12 months since a defeat in the league at home.
