dannysfc Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Am watching the Charlton v Huddersfield game and have just seen BWP had a Good chance to score just now and am just seeing what people think in that whether you would still have him here now or was it the right decision to offload him or was he pushed in leaving Saints for Charlton!?! I still think he may just have it in him to have another chance of staying but this IMHO! Also bring on the Thief/Robber jokes...!!! ! Thoughts!?! Thanks! COYR !!!
Stu Man Do Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Probably would have kept hold of him when he left as Lg1 without (at the time) any recognised forwards seemed a bit daunting. Wouldn't touch him with barge poll now though. No better than he was when he left IMO.
Patrick Bateman Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Am watching the Charlton v Huddersfield game and have just seen BWP had a Good chance to score just now and am just seeing what people think in that whether you would still have him here now or was it the right decision to offload him or was he pushed in leaving Saints for Charlton!?! I still think he may just have it in him to have another chance of staying but this IMHO! Also bring on the Thief/Robber jokes...!!! ! Thoughts!?! Thanks! COYR !!! He didn't leave Saints for Charlton. He went to Plymouth. Also, he was sh*t and it was good riddance. :D:D:D:D!!!!!!!!!:D:D
Mark Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 I'd rather play with 10 men than have that **** in our team.
dannysfc Posted 28 November, 2011 Author Posted 28 November, 2011 He didn't leave Saints for Charlton. He went to Plymouth. Also, he was sh*t and it was good riddance. :D:D:D:D!!!!!!!!!:D:D OK thanks for clearing that up for me Patrick Bateman as I thought it was Charlton he went to from Saints so Plymouth it is then!
marc_saint Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Go and sit in the corner and think about what you've just said!
rocknrollman no2 Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 I always thought we had the wrong Wright -phillips and dont think he is as good as the players we have now.So would i want him back?? No thanks.
Toomer Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Rupert Lowe thought we were getting Sean Wright-Phillips thats why he said yes to the deal.
SNSUN Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Ah the Coca Cola player. Haven't drunk the stuff since.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Rupert Lowe thought we were getting Sean Wright-Phillips thats why he said yes to the deal. Did Rupert buy Pele and Jesus as well?
dannysfc Posted 28 November, 2011 Author Posted 28 November, 2011 Rupert Lowe thought we were getting Sean Wright-Phillips thats why he said yes to the deal. I just LOL'd at that there Toomer!
dannysfc Posted 28 November, 2011 Author Posted 28 November, 2011 Go and sit in the corner and think about what you've just said! What marc_saint Mate!?!
Picard Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Looks like Huddersfield's not losing sequence is coming to an end.
sidthesquid Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 A league one player at best. And he doesn't exactly fit into Nigel's 'intelligent players' plan, does he? He gives headless chickens a bad name.
VectisSaint Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 I'd rather play with 10 men than have that **** in our team. So thats a "no" then?
S-Clarke Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Looks like Huddersfield's not losing sequence is coming to an end. Wouldn't write them off just yet, a winning mentality breeds belief right up until the last second.
eelpie Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Am watching the Charlton v Huddersfield game and have just seen BWP had a Good chance to score just now and am just seeing what people think in that whether you would still have him here now or was it the right decision to offload him or was he pushed in leaving Saints for Charlton!?! I'd rather see his mate Dyer back here. Or better still, Maynard. Or Jutkiewicz
SuperMikey Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 I'd rather see his mate Dyer back here. Or better still, Maynard. Or Jutkiewicz I'd love it, LOVE IT if we signed Dyer back - he's been Swansea's best player all season. He was quality against Man Utd the other week.
latter day saint Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 no thanks to BWP. only thing about him i miss is his song
dannysfc Posted 28 November, 2011 Author Posted 28 November, 2011 I'd rather see his mate Dyer back here. Yeh going by what Dyer's doing for Swansea then I wouldn't mind having him back here but I'm sure that he'l stay at Swansea Tbh!
cellone Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 He gives headless chickens a bad name. Got that right.
L1Minus10 Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 No, one of the worst players I've ever seen in red and white. Truly awful, brainless, witless bag of toss.
SNSUN Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Looks like Huddersfield's not losing sequence is coming to an end. I know Huddersfield fans are proud of their unbeaten league run but when you lose your most important game of the year in the middle of it, the gloss is slightly taken off it. I think Huddersfield will be back in the play-offs this season too - I hope their play-off curse ends though.
beatlesaint Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Truly awful, brainless, witless bag of toss. And he's had a fair amount of competition for that description in recent years. Totally agree though......."I will never miss another one on one with a keeper" said BWP on a Thursday. the following Saturday, BWP through on goal, only the keeper to beat......yep he fkin missed, and continued to do so !
shurlock Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Think you're being harsh on him - if Charlton go up, guarantee he'll get goals in the NPC. The number of leading scorers in L1 who go on and enjoy success in the NPC is actually pretty high.
Nexstar Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 13 exclamation marks in 4 sentences. Wowzer. And no, BWP would not get in our team. IMHO Though!?!
LA77 Posted 28 November, 2011 Posted 28 November, 2011 Why are so many Saints fans obsessed with signing ex players ffs. I've heard fans getting excited at the thought of Beattie coming back, and also hearing idiots say "It'd be good if we signed Bridge" etc. Why the fook would we want players back that were either sh*t, or couldn't wait to f**k off to "better themsleves"? Give me the current crop of players any day. move on
sfc1971 Posted 29 November, 2011 Posted 29 November, 2011 If you had ever had the misfortune to meet him (I have) you would know he is a proper...... RRRRRRRSSShole.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 29 November, 2011 Posted 29 November, 2011 Headlights in Rabbit. That is all..move on.
dubai_phil Posted 29 November, 2011 Posted 29 November, 2011 Our squad now has Intelligent Players in it. Seeing as BWP has proven he has the IQ & EQ of an amoeba. No
doddisalegend Posted 29 November, 2011 Posted 29 November, 2011 He's not half as bad as people make out. I think he would have done alright for us if we'd kept him in league 1.............but I wouldn't want him at saints now we've moved on to a better class of player.
Kingsland Red Posted 29 November, 2011 Posted 29 November, 2011 As the voice behind me used to shout on a regular basis - " F***ing cr*p, if 'is name weren't Wright Phillips 'e'd be a f**cking dustman".
rooney Posted 29 November, 2011 Posted 29 November, 2011 Always looked the part but never quite made it. I remember him being terrified of that big coloured centre half when we played Barnsley at SMS. His name escapes me but he played for WBA for some while.
The9 Posted 29 November, 2011 Posted 29 November, 2011 Always looked the part but never quite made it. I remember him being terrified of that big coloured centre half when we played Barnsley at SMS. trousers Posted 19 February, 2013 Posted 19 February, 2013 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/10238239.Brentford_sign_former_Saints_striker
Saint Garrett Posted 19 February, 2013 Posted 19 February, 2013 I thought he was one of Charlton's main players !
sunrise Posted 19 February, 2013 Posted 19 February, 2013 Bradley Offside-Phillips - erm, no thank you!
jawillwill Posted 19 February, 2013 Posted 19 February, 2013 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/10238239.Brentford_sign_former_Saints_striker Why are the Echo claiming this is news? I mean, it is football news I suppose, but sod all (well, very very little) to do with anything in Southampton.
pap Posted 19 February, 2013 Posted 19 February, 2013 Probably would have kept hold of him when he left as Lg1 without (at the time) any recognised forwards seemed a bit daunting. Wouldn't touch him with barge poll now though. No better than he was when he left IMO. Barge polls are a great laugh. They invariably end with everyone voting to go to the pub.
110_Persaint Posted 19 February, 2013 Posted 19 February, 2013 Jesus, I know when we haven't played for so long we get desperate to post whatever we can get our hands on in the main board, but this? Seriously?
Saint_clark Posted 19 February, 2013 Posted 19 February, 2013 He wasn't as bad as people make out now.
VectisSaint Posted 19 February, 2013 Posted 19 February, 2013 Best example to use in a coaching manual when teaching kids the offside rule. This is offside, that's offside, offside again etc etc. Found his level. Don't rate his half-brother either, flatters to deceive everywhere he goes. Dad was the only one in the family who was a decent player.
