fanimal Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 Incredibly biased; they just could not wait for us to lose and gloat over it. Disgraceful. Together we stand.

M271 Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 Very biased, result fitted with them bigging up the improvement under McInnis. Only showed Bristol good moments, no Saints play moments.
warsash saint Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 So the fact that they have now showed us first for the last 4 weeks is biased ??? hmmmm
Torrent Of Abuse Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 Media in "looking for angle on story" shock. Seriously, there's more of a story in the relegation-threatened side beating the champions than in the champions winning every game (unless that makes it a record of some sort). There's nothing unusual in this surely?
Jimmy_D Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 I remember Saints getting awesome press when we used to beat Man Utd...

half time pie Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 Watched it this morning. Yes, we did,nt have many chances but was suprised at how pro- Bristol City it was. Mainly putting the spotlight on the new manager.. Makes you wonder how much of the pre match build up they would have shown had City lost..Would be wrong to think that we are going to go through the entire season without a blip along the way.. And yes i did go to Ashton Gate.. Bring on, Tuesday
corky morris Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 Before the game, that fat bloke was asking their supporters questions & giving them the answers before they videod it for the progamme. Problem was, thick brissle fellas even with the answers kept getting the answers wrong.................carot crunching mongs!!!
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 Look, beating the league leaders is always going to be a irresistible story for any football show to highlight, just as MOTD would inevitably highlight Man City getting beat. Any editor worth his salt is going to feature this kind of result prominently, and before wasting time on some ludicrous BBC anti-Saints conspiracy theory or moaning about how hard done we are, it might be worth remembering all the 'rave reviews' we've been getting on this very same program recently - from a ex Pompey player by the way. Take it as a compliment.

S-Clarke Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 Stupid post. The game was centered around a feature on Bristol City, this was organized long before we were going to play them. The bald fella went down to do a piece of their new manager and the upturn in fortunes. Why that means the media are against us is beyond me. Some people really need to get a grip. Chez Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 Did we have any apart from James' save from Lallana ?a brilliant move that ended with de Ridder blazing over and another excellent move and cross that saw Fonte head wide when totally unmarked. eurosaint Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 They said in commentary that City were 'dominant throughout' but I've just looked at the stats and we had 55% possession ! I don't go along with any conspiracy theory but they could at least have shown one attack surely ??
SW11_Saint Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 Actually, I did think Paine's Voiceover was a bit over the top. BC deserved to win, no doubt, but even the City fans I spoke to after said they thought we might nick a point given the possession we had before they scored the second (though in truth we never looked like doing much with that possession). Anyway, it's over now. Line drawn under it and we move on to Hull. Together as one!

saintjay77 Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 haha I had it on record last night and first thing I did this morning was delete it. Knew we were not at our best and knew Brizzol would be up for it as they are in form. Didnt need to see it to know this and would of been in a bad mood all day had I watched it. On to Tuesday and 3 points at home and yesterday wont matter one bit.
Sour Mash Posted 27 November, 2011 Share Posted 27 November, 2011 While I've always said the whole media bias thing is a load of rubbish, just watched the football league show highlights and would say they weren't fairly balanced, while we were poor it certainly wasn't 'all one way in the 2nd half. But then again based on the coverage we have had against others recently, they have shown us as a powerhouse bulldozing over the opposition, with nothing coming back at us, which isn't exactly true. They just try and capture the game including the goals in as succint a manner as possible which, when it comes down to it, if it was more basic, it would resemble the old scored at the end of Grandstand with a few clips and would be last about 30 minutes. supersonic Posted 28 November, 2011 Share Posted 28 November, 2011 Did we do anything to warrant them showing highlights? It was no more biased than 3-0 win v Brighton where they focussed completely on us. And so what if they did a bit pre-match on McInnes, it's the first time they've been able to and I found it quite interesting to learn about him. The OP needs to calm down a bit and, like has already been statd, needs to remove his blinkers. We lost, and were crap. The FL show showed that. Foxstone Posted 28 November, 2011 Share Posted 28 November, 2011 The media are clearly West Ham centric - And so far we are the unexpected people ****ing on their chips of CCC domination !! The onus is on us to keep our form, deal with the setbacks like Saturday and keep ourselves up there.. I'm sure we can!
