What has happened to Cork?

Was our best player earlier in the season. Has faded a bit lately although some of that seems to be down to being overshadowed by Chaplow's recent form.

Seems to be since when Adkins first rested him

He was superb vs brigton last week.

More worried about Lallana to be honest.

Well we'll see what those at th match have to say but if he was no better than last week we have a problem. He needs to either snap out of it or be rested if the foot injury is still troubling him. From the commentary it seems like he's missing sitters again, scuffing shots and the like.

I thought Cork had dropped off a bit a few weeks ago but he was my man of the match against Brighton last week, bloody superb. The commentators suggested Nige perhaps got it wrong today and perhaps should have stuck De Ridder out wide and get Barny on up front earlier.

Adkins has got it right so many other times I think we can excuse this result though eh! Hull will be a test of character and we have passed most since promotion so far!

I started a thread pretty much with this title around the time of the Cardiff defeat, Cork's picked up a fair bit again since he got dropped, but he still hasn't been near the level he was for the first few matches.

Lallana's form is more concerning though, he's been very quiet since the foot injury.

Lallana's been slipping a lot lately as well, seems to be every match. Anyone know what boots he wears as I'll be sure not to buy them.

IIRC Cork has bee nsupurb and I would say our best signing (along with Jos) So what if he played poor against Brizzle, even the best players have off-days. He is our best central midfielder and will be a key player for us (hopefully) in the prem for years to come so I'm not worried. Another stupid thread IMO.

From the beginning of last season until recently he's worn Nike CTR 360 Maestri II, (either white/blue, white/yellow or charcoal/white) which were the same boots as Lambert is still wearing.

He was wearing the charcoal/white ones against Brighton - though this pic shows what seems to be a hard ground stud config, more like the sort of rubber stud sole you'd wear on rock hard ground - maybe it's due to the foot injury that he doesn't want any kind of stud pressure on his foot :

However I just had a quick look at the BC gallery on the OS, and he had changed to the silver/orange Nike Total Laser IV, which are the same as Guly and Fonte, and these have the standard firm ground blade configuration - the others might have a different soleplate/stud configuration though.

I'd also noticed him slipping a lot, but he's had two different pairs of boots on when doing it. It's probably just the time or year when the pitch softens underneath, allied to his frequent direction changes in dribbling.
