After Barnsley, Leicester, Derby, Reading, Palace (cup), Coventry..

.. I am really looking forward to a stay-at-home-away-day.

Going to clean the bathroom in the morning, go down my local for a jar or two and a pie at lunch (and remind the Albion amongst them, the score), and then retire to my sofa (via the off-licence) to listen to the dulcet tones of Merrington et al comment on how our our magnificent boys get on up at Bristol.

Any one else looking forward to supporting the lads from a far? Tell us your day! Let's have a 'get us sofa-supporters in the mood for it' thread.

As just mentioned, I will be cleaning my bathroom in the morning. What will you be doing, before kick off?

Come on You Reds!

Our thread's better than theirs... our thread's better than theirs....

come on Dubai? Alpine? Where are you?

In the words of Delia... 'Where are you??'

Our thread's better than theirs...

I will continue to nurse an epic post Karaoke night hangover this morning, which may somewhat wreck my plans for a spell on the beach or in the gym as I gear up for Dubai World Cup.

Concurrent to that I will continue to try and remember what actually happened last night & re-read my early morning post on the takeover thread to try and see if that gives any clues in the cold light of day.

As the match kicks off I'll be giving a "how to insert a camera into an obnoxious Golf Fan's anal passage whilst being polite" training on behalf of the European Tour, so that the locals don't spoil Ian Poulters day out or get an unauthorised blurred Iphone snap of his latest Fashion range, whilst trying to blag a couple of free tickets to their big beach party on 6th. (Not of course to stalk, but because those do's are always all you can eat and drink and everything is free)

The training will of course be interspersed by numerous beeps and YESSSSSSSS!'s as my lad sends me text updates of the score.

With luck and rush hour traffic permitting I should get home in time for the last 30 minutes of keep ball and reflect on how wonderful it is these days that we don't have to spend hours before matches googling for pictures of Nuns.

now, where did I put the farking Nurofen & my sunglasses?

The only reason I'm glad that I'm going to be not at the game but posting away on here, means that I am not at work so can enjoy the delights of whispering Dave and drink London Pride or Old Speckled Hen - what more could one ask for on a match day, apart from actually being there?

Not much planned, might try and get a pre match afternoon nap as I was on night's last night and haven't had much sleep today.

I am working today, woke up at 3, finish work at half 12. Dash home, get changed, go to nice pub in Virginia Water for a spot of lunch with friends, dash home, hope my pre-arranged night in with a pregnant lady friend DOESN'T go ahead (my missus is out of town and tbf I'd rather follow the footy), nap around half five for 2 hours, wake up, dinner, beddybyes.

I miss the old "What are you up to this weekend " freds in the Lounge.

Well, bright and sunny here in the Alps. I've just put a pecan pie in the oven for a friend's Thanksgiving party but she's just about to be rushed into hospital so I might have to eat most of it myself instead of the turkey and pumpkin pie I was looking forward to. But it means I could get to listen to whispering Dave...

We're short of players for tomorrow's match so could even get off the bench, so not too much booze and I definitely won't be going back to that bar where a guy got hysterical because I put my hand on his shoulder and told him to shut up!

Then I might try again to pay my subs but Steve must be a bit busy, so I think I'll keep one post for the Pompey takeover thread and one for the final score - let's hope they're both celebratory!

Skint as we're moving house next weekend (toyed with Doncaster away as well as I've never been, but the cost is prohibitive with removal costs, solicitors, Xmas, Fratton and decorating to come), so giving Ashton Gate a miss, I've been there about 10 times and it was only 20 miles from where I used to live anyway. Plus the tickets went quickly which helped make up my mind for me.

Hell, I've seen Bristol City v Everton in the Carling Cup and went against Wolves in the Championship in 1998/9 (the infamous Wolfie and the 3 little pigs game), seen Saints play there preseason and in the League, I really don't need to go again. The missus has never been but has taken one for the team and will probably reap the rewards in sofa furnishings, so she's coping, just like she did with the Coventry match t'other week - again I'd been before but she hadn't.

Will do the usual and stick the radio on (which we bought specifically to listen to Saints matches on). No online stream expected as Palace v Millwall is the main game, but I don't actually plan on doing anything today apart from going to B&Q for planning purposes anyway. Will probably listen to Saints and watch Palace or a Prem match online.

Sat in Sweden....

Changed the wheels on the Volvo to the ones with winter-tyres (possibly snow next week).

Will spend the next hour trying to find a stream that will certainly not work.

Will rely on text alerts during the match (hate listening on SP) and speak to fellow swedish saints during the afternoon.

As soon as Saints score i'll get an Ale and enjoy the rest of the match. Cheers.
