Portsmouth away tickets - ballot reopened!

Will tickets only show up on the online account of the person who paid for the tickets? Or everybody's?

Ours have so far only shown up on the on the sales history of the one who put the applications in but we're apparently all listed. Have checked but nothing showing on mine.

And once again just to keep that warm feeling of having a ticket going...

I'm getting really worried now, nothing showing online. I was in the 2nd ballot and should have enough away tickets. I just hope my application wasn't in the wrong shoe box!

I am as well. I was in the first application and handed my form in on the day of the Brighton game. I will not be happy if my application went into the wrong shoe box.

Well if you weren't successful in getting our tickets you could always try and get theirs. On general sale for a month and the skates still haven't sold out. Struggling to sell 17,000 to home fans for their biggest game..lucky they didn't build that big potty then.

spare a thought for Millwall fans going to Leeds this weekend, to get a ticket they have to go to a service station and exchange it for a match ticket, they have to get to the service station between 9.45-11.15am outside of Leeds, and their travel club is leaving Millwall at 5.30am!!

on top of that match tickets are £34!!!

i would be amazed if Millwall take more than 150

Got an email from the ticket office saying to wait 10 days for an email that will confirm my ticket.

Safe to say they don't have a clue what is going on. Useless.

surely that email was not sent today? if you wait for 10 days it will only be a few days before the actual match

Got 4 tickets showing on line now. 2 from Ballot 1 and 2 from Ballot 2, done 4 aways.

How many have your 'plus 1s' from ballot 2 been to? I have 7 away games so far, including Doncaster and nothing on my account to show skates away yet. It is quite possible your additional tickets will get in ahead of me. If they have been to less away games (not saying they have but some people plus ones are bound to have) then yet again the system screws me over. Fecking ticket office!

when I spoke to the TO just now to sort my online account they said the 1st ballot was still being sorted so no need to worry.

so how can they know that all the tickets are sold out?

something doesn't add up for me with all this, there reluctance from the start to say how many our allocation was, and in the news article yesterday they didn't actually use the words sold out.

I phoned the ticket office yesterday lunchtime, i.e. before yesterday afternoon's news article, pointing out that the local press had reported that there were hundreds of tickets available and asking if they would be selling them to people who had attended fewer than 4 away matches. The Ticket Office said that all the tickets had been sold and that the reports in the press were "all lies". Tbh I can't see why they wouldn't want to take and sell the full allocation.

Maybe they went through all the forms and added up the number of tickets that were applied for before actually processing them on the system.

That would make sense when you consider that people are only just having the tickets allocated to their accounts.

were they able to tell you how many tickets we have? because when others i know have asked the ticket office wouldn't confirm, just seems strange.

Sorry they haven't done any aways... Not sure how the club have prioritised it though? Got my 2nd app in quite early so maybe it was first come first serverd?

Sorry mate, no offence to you, you have just applied as the system has allowed and fair play to you, however this really gets on my tits.

I do not live in Southampton, cannot go to every midweek game, so do not have a season ticket. However, I do go to a larger number of home games and even more away games. I travel miles across the country, spending a fortune on petrol and train tickets but because I don't have a season ticket I get screwed in the big games.

I can accept that season ticket holders get first dibs on tickets for big games (this one, JPT final etc) but the fact that I get pushed behind people because they have a mate who is a season ticket holder is unacceptable in my eyes. I did say on the original thread that they would open it up to season ticket holders plus ones but no one believed me. What is the clubs rational behind this?

I would love someone to put this to NC at one of his meet and greet dinners. I would do it myself but obviously, not being a season ticket holder I won't get an invite. Once he has had dinner with all of the season ticket holders, he will make his way through their mates and families before I get an invite.

My ladyfriend has a season ticket and she applied on that but doesnt know her password and refuses to ring the ticket office so she can check her order history.

If i do it for her do you reckon the TO will tell me the details? Im guessing not... (annoyingly)

Odd.

Just received a second copy of the email, but this time with Mark Long's letter attached:

30 November 2011

Dear Supporter

Thank you for supporting Southampton Football Club and for purchasing your ticket for the away fixture against Portsmouth.

Southampton Football Club have liaised with Hampshire Constabulary and with Portsmouth Football Club to ensure that we do all we can to assist with the safety of all supporters at both Derby fixtures home and away. Your safety is paramount to us and we have put into place an operational plan to assist us with ensuring that everyone has a safe and enjoyable day.

Locations and Departure Times:

Winchester (King Alfred statue opposite The Guild Hall) 10.50am

St Mary's Stadium (North car park and Britannia Road) 11.00am

Bursledon (Next to the car boot site, entry via Bursledon Road, which is the old home park and ride site, SO31 8EY) 11.25am

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your departure time above. All buses will have a Police escort and on arrival at Fratton Park will be parked in a safe sterile area. Please return to your designated bus where it dropped you off on completion of the game. The buses will depart as soon as the Police are ready to escort them. Please remember that you may not take or consume alcohol on the bus as it is against the law, attempting to do so will result in no admittance and missing the game.

Your match tickets will be issued to you once the buses have left each location by the SFC Steward on board each vehicle. If you miss the buss I am afraid that you will not receive a refund and you will not be able to travel independently.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. I hope you have a safe and enjoyable day.

Yours sincerely

Mark Long, Safety Officer

Brendan McGlinchey, Chief Operating Officer

Cc: Hampshire Police & Portsmouth FC
