What does your newspaper say about you?

Why would you waste time reading something you are so against and believe to be full of lies? Do you regularly read the BNP and EDL websites to keep up with their viewpoints?

Would you trust the view of a man that regularly condemns something then uses it to support his arguments when an article suited his agenda?

I have read both websites in past, on more than one occasion. I believe it's no good just shouting about it if you haven't seen what the other side say.

This is boring now. When is the thread regarding the well justified and supported public sector strikes going to be started up by the dune/trousers/turkish dream team?

Damn right. And I hate the anti-strike feeling by some right now. Regardless of whether you agree with the strikers... the fact is they DO disagree and so they should be at least allowed to strike and if they can't strike over pensions, what can they strike over?

I read the Observer on a Sunday & Private Eye. As for the others - I could never buy anything tainted by Rupert Murdoch. The Mail fills me with deep despair whenever I look at it - it is so negative about everything. The Express is just bonkers, like a comic for slow-witted 50 year-old cardigan wearers who still think we have an Empire. At least the Star has t1ts in it. And the Indy just passes me by. Sadly newsprint's days are numbered. Mostly I get the news from the BBC website, because I trust it.

So you don't think people should be able to strike?

Teacher's pensions are more than fair. When you add to that the amount of annual leave they get and the fact that they are doing something rewarding, I think its disgusting that they even contemplate striking.

A lot of them should try working in the private sector for a day (maybe whilst they are on strike) and see how that works out for them. I'd be happy to compare pensions.

That's not my point. Regardless of what you think or what I think about this, the point is that the public sector disagrees. And over something like pensions, which are incredibly important, why shouldn't they be allowed to strike? It's not like it is over something pointless, it's pensions! Sometimes, extreme action has to be taken. Teacher's are aware of their social responsibility, and love their jobs, and wouldn't just go on strike for the sake of it. They are taking this very seriously.
