buctootim Posted 21 November, 2011 Share Posted 21 November, 2011 Good move. The idea that wealthier pension payers should get a 40% discount off their tax bill whilst the majority get only 23% has always been perverse.

Whitey Grandad Posted 21 November, 2011 Share Posted 21 November, 2011 It's and idiotic idea much favoured by Vince Cable. If this were to go ahead then nobody would save for a pension because there would be no point. Better to buy gold bars and live off the state if you ever retire. OVER THE HILL Posted 21 November, 2011 Share Posted 21 November, 2011 If this is true then this comment sums it up for me, 'Never work, Never contribute anything, Claim everything you can'.
dune Posted 21 November, 2011 Share Posted 21 November, 2011 Good on the Express, nothing like a pre-emptive strike. I imagine all options to sort out the mess left by Labour have been considered, but the govt. need to know just how unpopular and ill judged this would be. Brown raided pension pots and forced many businesses to opt out of final slary salary schemes or close them all together. They should stick to cutting the waste in the public sector (including non jobs like badgerx16's)

dune Posted 21 November, 2011 Share Posted 21 November, 2011 Oooooh, you b!tch You have complained before about how you have to do more work now due to cuts to staffing levels. I say good. Clearly you weren't doing a lot in the first place. As a tax payer why should I pay to keep people like you in half a job for a full time wage? dune Posted 21 November, 2011 Share Posted 21 November, 2011 How much will you get paid this month ? How much of a pay rise did you get last year and the year before? I ONLY got around 4% each time.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 21 November, 2011 Share Posted 21 November, 2011 How much of a pay rise did you get last year and the year before? I ONLY got around 4% each time. I don't think you should count inflation on your JSA as a 'payrise'.

I am very grateful to the taxpayers for their contribution to my family's well being - thankfully that excludes you.
