The costume lies disregarded just outside my changing room at the Stadium. If it is going unused I might see if I can buy/take it off their hands. Would make for a top fancy dress kit.

There must be loads of costumes. One for each dog and multiply that by the amount of home kits we had during our dog mascot days. I wore the first Flybe shirt.

was that as a saturday job for a few extra quid? i'd like to do that, would be a good money saver not having to buy tickets and better than being a steward

Nah, the Saints in the community lads do it. A group of Indian lads from Bellemoor all about 16 did it last season. It's been pretty much dead this year. He's just there. Laying on the floor. I may remind them a dog isn't just for Christmas and then offer to take him home.

Sammy The Saint has not been the most uplifting of mascots. Dawdled around the pitch, shoulders down, looking half-hearted at best.

The new Saints need a livelier costume mascot if we are to have one at all.

There is nothing to beat a bloke dressed in a ridiculous seven foot costume to create an atmosphere.
