Things I want to know.

Why did Cardiff last season fall away after being in a similar position than us, was it injuries to star players or did they loan out someone, for their big drop of form?

What did the coach flick over to Barnard before he came on, was it free kick drills or something else?

Was our defence that good or was Brighton ****e?

Who is the brains at the moment, is it really just Adkins or a fantastic coaching team?

Finally why can't we have a sticky which keeps us up to date with all the players comments on twitter?

Was our defence that good or was brighton ****e? They didn't have a shot against watford, so it was unlikely they'd barrage us.

imo

I think with Cardiff it was psychological. They've been in strong positions for a few seasons at the start, then faltered away. I remember one in particular where at one point they had a 12 point lead at the top - yet they finished the season in 11th place. They did a similar kind of thing the season after...and last season.

Our defense has improved steadily over the last few weeks, Jos has played a big part in that - and Fox is much more disciplined and aware of his defensive responsibilities. Granted, Brighton offered nothing in attack really, but they dealt with Macakil-Smith pretty well.

I think the coaching team we have work so well together, they bounce idea's off each other and all seem to be signing off the same hym sheet. The work Wilkins does goes unnoticed by a few, but he is a fantastic coach IMO.

Cardiff do tend to bottle it spectacularly, let's just hope they do the same this season. There is no reason at all to fear Saints will do the same. We will falter at some point, no doubt about it. Happens to every team in every division. It's recovering quickly and putting in a strong end to the season that wins leagues.

Our defence was very solid yesterday, but I can't honnestly say they were troubled that much. I was amazed at how poor CMS looked after he tore pieces out of us at London Road last season. £3.5m? Looking a tad dubious to me.

I'm impressed by NA s manner - even if he does do the Sport journo's job for him - by answering questions before they are asked...

...but some of his statements are very revealing.

Watch the video ....100% analysis of every game. Every goal against, every defensive error, every misdirected pass, every missed shot ...etc,

If you make a mistake - learn the lesson and go forward. The NEXT game is the most important. The last one is history - forget it !

It's great way to develop a better squad . As far as we know no-one is disatisfied if they have to sit on the bench (disappointed maybe) but

it's real team effort from start to finish. No ONE person is a genius, but working together with the same mindset.

If one thing is apparant it's that Rickie Lambert has improved beyond all recognition. Around 10 years in the lower leagues before coming to us and now he is top scorer in the division that many people last season thought was beyond his capabilities, and it looks easier every game...
