Jeff Le Taxi Posted 20 November, 2011 Share Posted 20 November, 2011 After the second given penalty (third goal) Barnes barges into the ref quite hard in indignation, now if I had been ref he would have walked immediately, especially as he sent a player off earlier for swearing at him! I know Marcus took a dim view of this sort of thing, wonder if Cortese/Adkins hold the same view as we seem to hold back from the ref even when blatantly slighted. We're too busy diving for pens to worry about this sort of thing ;-)
Saints foreva Posted 20 November, 2011 Share Posted 20 November, 2011 Felt Navarro was lucky to stay on the pitch with his tackle on Morgan. Foot above the ball, studs up and lunges in.

Golden Balls Posted 20 November, 2011 Share Posted 20 November, 2011 And give them another excuse? Nah, I'll take the 3-0 as it was
um pahars Posted 20 November, 2011 Share Posted 20 November, 2011 You're probably right that that could have been deemed a red (don't even think he got a caution for it, Calderon did though). However, although we're not operating at the level of Gus' Brighton, we're certainly not immune to a bit of gamesmanship (Deano's dive) and trying to influence the ref (e.g. Vs Posh). Jeff Le Taxi Posted 20 November, 2011 Author Share Posted 20 November, 2011 Trying to influence the ref and gamesmanship are not quite the same as actually assaulting him, as Barnes did!
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 20 November, 2011 Author Share Posted 20 November, 2011 As for Ricky, the restraint he showed yesterday was immense! he was floored a couple of times yesterday by lads half his size, i wouldnt have been so gracious, then again it would have been him that walked if he had reacted. Monk Posted 20 November, 2011 Share Posted 20 November, 2011 I mentioned this in another a thread. He was seen on FL high lights kicking out at two players. It appears only I've seen it!?!? Little cvnt makes up 50 yards to do so.
