"I've had a little look at the run we've got coming up, and obviously we want to win every game, but we're all definitely confident going into this game of getting three points." Rickie Lambert

Sounds like complacency creeping in to me.

That's pretty much exactly the same statement X, Y or Z player has been coming out with since pre-season.

I agree. I'd much rather they were crapping their pants going into this one.

We all know Maynard will score against us lol, so it will have to be a scrappy 2-1 saints!!!

The Echo already has it's headline: Saints full of disMay-nard. (They can buy that off me for ten quid.)

Think this will be one of our conceding early away games. Too many think City are rubbish as they're down the bottom, but their early season games seem to be more out of character than their recent form. They have some good players, especially going forward, and lots of pace.

Here's one, would people rather win and Bristol and draw with Hull, or lose to Bristol and beat Hull? How important is that home record?!

4 points over 3? 4 points every time, the home record will come to a natural end eventually anyway. That said, I expect no fewer than 6 points.

Where is the cottage then from the station?

It's between Temple Meads and the ground so is not out of your way. About a twenty minute walk from each. It's got a decent website, give it a Google. Nice pub that overlooks the waterfront, you can stand out the front with a pint and watch the boats and rowers go past.

quite relaxed about away games at the moment.

if we continue winning all of our home games we will probably have enough points for automatic promotion (would have been for last 3 years) even if we don't get a single more point away.

not seen anything to suggest, so far, that this is impossible - but likely to drop a few points at home but equally likely to gain a few away.

any game we win away, in all likelihood means we can lose a home game and go up

Not gonna be able to listen.

Will be happy just to keep the bus rumbling onwards with a scrappy win by an odd goal, and save the tear them 25 new ones Away performance for you all know where.

Luckily the son is here on hols so will set him up to listen to DM & take control of the txt'ing of updates. EoA will be working or his usual befuddled OSH self trying to txt with 20 fingers

Think I'll be on The London Pride today - good move on getting your lad to txt, but I may chip in with the odd one or two if you want.

You can forget the scrappy odd goal win - my nerves need us to be in front by 3 or 4 by HT so that I can enjoy the commentary and beer.

I think were slightly over estimating Brizzles form. Who have they beat in the top half on this run! Answer no one. The last team they played from the top half was Birmingham, which they lost 0-2 at home. Their recent run of wins was against Millwall,Barnsley and Burnley all teams around the bottom half, and the draw against WHU. But if we stick 11 men at the back, we'd get a draw too! It wont be easy for us. But at the same time it wont be easy for them either!! 1-3 SAINTS!!!

OK just about to head off. Leaving you in charge of Nuns AND texts. Son is out until about 8pm as well.

You git your timing just right last week so don't let anyone shoot their load too early on the match thread.

You were damn lucky you were working last night. RB's was a right mess. Still feeling ill now! Some nameless Polish person thought it would be a good laugh to get the regulars doing shots of Spirytus - 190% proof, 95% Alcohol Content.

Can't see a damn thing todayam on Carrot Juice tonighti

Brizzle might be on a run of good form against teams near the bottom of the table, but we're on a better run of form including the best two teams (apart from us of course!) in the table.

We have NO reason to not be confident.

A draw at WHU isn't something to write off as a non event tbh.

Saints Vs Bristol City: Davis. Richardson, Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox. Chaplow, Hammond©, Cork, Lallana. Guly, Lambert

Subs: Bart, Schneiderlin, Barnard, Martin & De Ridder

Unchanged .... when was the last time that happened?

Strong bench as well ... the mid field has so much fluidity especially with Chappers showing he is not just a terrier snapping away but fantastic at drifting into goal scoring positions, shame for Spiderman to be on the bench but what a player to bring on.
