Which BMX and Radio Controlled Car did you have?

Bmx... Had one, no idea of the model, and the radio controlled car was a "Tyco Wild Thing."

It didn't survive a head on meeting with a Passat, RIP.

You can't remember what BMX you had!? I'm shocked. Before that I had a blue Raleigh Boxer, but the mongoose was the the ultimate in cool especially with stunt nuts and a coke can wedged in the back tyre.:smug:

Never heard of either yours or colin's car. Mine was a Marui Ninja (relatively unusual), most were Tamiya's (Grasshopper, Fox, etc). The grasshopper was the cheapest but nippy. Beatties was the place to shop. A steering box was a must or when the battery got low you lost the steering and probably lost the car under a car.

And a Tamiya TL01 with the Calsonic Skyline GTR R33 body (this is the same box, the car is long gone now):

Still racing in RC, 15 years later. Tamiya have re-relased a lot of older buggies so you can still buy brand new Hornets, Hot Shots, Brats, Frogs etc.

Oh dear, I knew the oldies would have to join in and talk about their dinosaur contraptions. Badgerx16 will be posting a pic of his chopper in a minute.

I had one of these:

Loved that bike, until it got nicked. And instead of replacing it like for like, my mum and dad got me an Asda own brand BMX. Happy, I was not.

Never had a BMX. Got one of these though. Race it in Frome every week.

Good choice, I've got a T3 myself, Xray are quality.

Raliegh boxer & a hot shot remote controlled car, I'm in the process of rebuilding the hot shot to it's former glory after 23 years. Every so often me & the old man used to race it round the purpose built race track at the malthouse outside Romsey.

I had loads of Tamiya R/C cars during the '80s as my Dad used to run a model shop: Holiday Buggy, Grasshopper, Porsche 956 & 959, Hotshot etc. but Sand Scorcher was the first (and possibly best):

I expect so. Even back in the day they were very uncommon.
