I thought Rickie's wide effort was going in.

 

In the Northam, so didn't have the best perspective on it, but it seemed like the whole stand thought it was in. On the other hand, I was dreading him having to retake the second penalty. Was a bit odd that. the 'keeper clearly wasn't ready, but the ref blew the whistle anyway. Great retake though.

Yep, also fueled by the fact it so unlike him to miss from there as well. As for the second pen, thought it was going over for a sec!

yup, i thought it was going over , just for a split second. Have had a stern word with myself for doubting the great man !!

The keeper saved it, actually it was a bloody good save too. Unfortunately the miopic twins both missed it and gave the goal kick.

I haven't actually seen the penalty, but surely if the whistle has gone and the keeper isn't ready, that's the keepers own stupid fault?

The shot WAS going in.

 

I had a perfect view in line with the path of the ball in the Chapel/Kingsland corner and the keeper tipped it round.

 

How a goal kick was given....

That was my initial thought too, but as Nextar said it's hardly fair on the 'keeper who had barely turned around when Rickie took it.

The linesman clearly gave a corner and then changed his decision. Was a very clear save.

Watching online it sounds like the attempt where my feed froze with the ball about 4 yards from the goal line. Sod you lot and your split seconds it took me 3 or 4 minutes to tealise we hadn't scored

Loved the penalty retake when Harper was trying to put Rickie off pointing to the bottom right so Rickie smashed it in top left.
