Basic article with no quotes so not much to go on. Wouldn't turn him down however. Great on the ball, superb passer with a very good set piece.

Could be a bit of a bun fight over free kicks with Lambo & Fox already on the books!

YES, we have good midfield options, but they are all " fairly young-ish" and getting someone with some experience under his belt may not be such a bad thing.

It has certainly worked in the past....Jimmy Gabriel, Alan Ball, Jimmy Case, Chris Marsden all very experienced players came into similar team set-ups and really made a difference. May not be as daft as it sounds at first...might think about that one.

I mentioned this to their chairman on Twitter not expecting a response but actually got 1 !

Me: Heard Grant McCann linked with Southampton?

'DMAC': As was CMS who they offered 600k for over 3 years...Can't see any truth in this one to be fair.

Me: When was that? This summer?

'DMAC': Last January.

Thought people would be interested though all pretty pointless information!!

Their chairman is a bit of a plonker. Some of the stuff he comes out with is ludicrous.

Not petty or pointless! Idea of Mackail-Smith offer of £600k on credit over three years made me smile
