hamster Posted 14 November, 2011 Posted 14 November, 2011 I'm after a local electrician recommendation please? Testing and certificate required for electrical installation including all sockets, lighting, wiring, switching, consumer unit, earth bonding, etc. We are expecting a bit of remedial work to surface as some circuits tend to trip out more than we'd like. There's a name for it which escapes me atm but the right person will know what I need for a property let. A few of the light fittings will be replaced by standard ceiling roses too. Also, it's a big house, we want the old hard-wired fire alarm isolated so that I can remove the control box and break-glass points. Receipts required for accounts. Cheers in advance. mr and mrs hamster.
Special K Posted 15 November, 2011 Posted 15 November, 2011 http://www.consumerunits-southampton.co.uk/#!blog_Commercial-electrician-Southampton_59909 Hamster, i had this fella do some work on my house a few years ago and he was a good guy, clean, tidy, efficient and cheap. May be worth a shout.
spyinthesky Posted 15 November, 2011 Posted 15 November, 2011 Checkatrade is also a good place to find recommended tradesmen
Jillyanne Posted 15 November, 2011 Posted 15 November, 2011 My next door neighbour is an electrician, this is a fact.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 15 November, 2011 Posted 15 November, 2011 My next door neighbour is an electrician, this is a fact. The guy who lives in the house between the houses either side of me is an electrician. Factoid.
Bath Saint Posted 15 November, 2011 Posted 15 November, 2011 I understand that Junction 9 is a dab hand at all this kind of stuff and does good rates for fellow Saints supporters.
