Cumbria Saint Posted 14 November, 2011 Share Posted 14 November, 2011 You may remember that earlier this year Philip Douch’s play Herbie and The Saints was performed at The Nuffield Theatre, Southampton and at The Berry, Hedge End where it received universal praise from all who saw it. It tells the story of Saints plunge into and out of administration and the arrival of our saviour Marcus. It culminates in last season’s promotion - all seen through the eyes of a group of internet Saints and our very own tour guide and national celebrity Herbie Taylor. Well, the soundtrack consisting of thirteen Saints songs is now available to listen to for free, and for a small fee is even available to download to your iPod or MP3 player. Some of the songs are absolute classics. We hope that putting the songs on the web like this will allow more people to hear these witty lyrics and catchy tunes. The full songlist is: 1. Heyday - Wembley 76 2. Once Upon A Time – Administration 3. I Am Cortese 4. Do, Do, Do The Micky Channon 5. We Don’t Hate Pompey Really (Yes, We Do) 6. Markus Liebherr 7. Oh When The Saints 8. Round and Round – Fabrice Fernandes 9. Once Upon A Time – Markus’ Death 10. Nigel 11. Frightening – The Hard Men 12. Fair Weather Supporters 13. Heyday – Plymouth 2010 / I’ve Got A Shed My favourite is Frightening. Perhaps we need a poll? If you like it please publicise more widely by whatever mechanism you have available. Oh yes, you can find the songs at Herbie and The Saints. ___________________________________ COYR - John Douch (playwright's brother)
