VectisSaint Posted 30 November, 2011 Posted 30 November, 2011 I don't post often but I have just been informed by Sam vokes' uncle that he is in talks with saints over a permanent move.. I know Sam vokes has been done to death on this forum and there has been much speculation over a move to st mary's..watch this space. Is Sam Vokes' Uncle any good? Is he a CB or striker?
Colinjb Posted 30 November, 2011 Posted 30 November, 2011 Lukas and now Sam. Is there a neccesity that we are only trailing Saints supporting Strikers?
The9 Posted 30 November, 2011 Posted 30 November, 2011 Vokes has just gone to Burnley on loan, starnge as they already have two strikers!!! Still J Rod has been a pale shadow since the summer transfer window! Charlie Austin got injured a fortnight ago and is out for months - they'd also already got Vokes in on loan the week before. And Rodriguez was only not scoring as many because Austin and Wallace are scoring them instead.
The9 Posted 30 November, 2011 Posted 30 November, 2011 I've met his old man once before and had quite a long chat with him, I may have been hammered at the time but remember speaking about Sam and he said he's a Saints fan and would love to play for us one day. I know Pat from Poole remembers sharing a minibus with his old man and young Sam on the way to St Mary's (or maybe even The Dell, can't remember how long ago it was).
Matthew Le God Posted 30 November, 2011 Posted 30 November, 2011 Journeyman striker. Hardly! He has been owned by just two clubs (Bournemouth and Wolves). He only recently turned 22, it is not unusual to be loaned out to a number of clubs to gain experience.
Buenos Aires Saint Posted 30 November, 2011 Posted 30 November, 2011 At 22, Yes. Forgot to reply with quote to vectissaints' witty post. Sam is still a youngster. Career seemed to have gone quiet the past year or so. Didn't he have a bad injury?
