sidthesquid Posted 7 November, 2011 Share Posted 7 November, 2011 Just looking at our recent goal-scorers, 9 times in the last 13 games one of the subs has scored. That must be some sort of record (at least for us) and re-iterates what NA says about both impact players and it being a squad game.

hutch Posted 7 November, 2011 Share Posted 7 November, 2011 To paraphrase the Coventry commentators on Saturday: "They've taken their first three goalscorers off. They've brought on a sub who scored another one. Now they bring on David Connolly" We do have a good bench.
Saint Garrett Posted 7 November, 2011 Share Posted 7 November, 2011 Probably helps that De Ridder keeps coming off the bench!

Fan The Flames Posted 7 November, 2011 Share Posted 7 November, 2011 Football subs has morphed from; bringing a player on for an injured body, to changing things up if its not working, to them being a part of the original game plan. Teams now like to mix up their style of play to suit different periods of the game, which makes sense if you are allowed to use subs then take full advantage of them. ericofarabia Posted 7 November, 2011 Share Posted 7 November, 2011 Just seen how to get SRL back into goal scoring mode .... list him as a sub and then bring him on after 1 minute ... jobs a good 'un.
