MongoNeil Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 My girlfriend is a psychologist and as such takes a lot of interest is our Nige's positive reinforcement strategy of five positives and one negative. She's taken to saying "what would Nigel Do?" (WWND) whenever I'm having a moan about something. I was thinking this is quite cool in a "what would Jesus do?" but less religious kind of way. Makes me smile everytime she says it anyway (considering she doesn't normally take much interest in Saints.
saintmatt Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 I think everyone should subscribe to the WWND philosophy when it comes to life in general! Imagine what a nicer world we'd live in..
Badger Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 I'll get up tomorrow, open the curtains and say "what a fantastic day,...." reflect on some positivity and see if it makes a difference. By the time I get to work - thirty minutes drive - and ten minutes after arrival there, I suspect such "positivity" might have worn off, and I will revert to being a miserable sod again.
Graffito Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Yes the default position of most of us saints fans is "miserable sod". You don't get so disappointed that way. It'll take some turning around.
Supersubpuckett Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 There's also a book called Good to Great, about companies that out perform the rest - talks about the bus and ensuring you have the irght people on it and being resolute in your approach. Reckon he's read this too.
