Nadia Sllim Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Mine are 1. Nigel Adkins tactics. 2. Rickie Lambert link up play. 3. Our Support this year.
Legod Third Coming Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 I think you should ask Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha and Anni-Frid to answer this one...
skintsaint Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 think one of the reasons is that we have more points than anyone else tbh.
Mr saint Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 We have most points We've won quite a lot of games We haven't lost many games
chocco boxo Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 I think you should ask Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha and Anni-Frid to answer this one... The Winner Takes it all ;-)
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 1 - Funding - you just don't get to be where we are without money. 2 - Leadership - both from the touchline and the boardroom. 3 - Team Spirit - good players all confident in their ability and working for each other.
AussieDog Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Skill Work Ethic/Team spirit Tactics Ok...I cheated and put 4 but I think they are all crucial. The support has been pretty good, but our success has primarily been through our home form and we've only sold out once, so it could still be better
Fan The Flames Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 1. Scoring ability 2. NA & SC (along with DW) management 3. Team spirit
Goalie66 Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 I think you should ask Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha and Anni-Frid to answer this one... Money money money......
cellone Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 According to other fan's, team's and manager's it's the goal's we are continuosly gifted. I think we owe them all a big thankyou.
CWD Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 According to other fan's, team's and manager's it's the goal's we are continuosly gifted. I think we owe them all a big thankyou. The main reason is our fans and their superb use of grammar, particularly apostrophes.
B Rabbit Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 The main reason is our fans and their superb use of grammar, particularly apostrophes. L'O'L's
The Kraken Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Together as one. We're all on the bus. It's as simple as that.
Saint_lambden Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 The perfectionist manager who makes perfect decisions. The team spirit. Rickie Lambert, Guly Do Prado, Adam Lallana, everyone else...
Dellman Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Stability from top runs right through the Club
S-Clarke Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Because we have a real team of players who have won most weeks for the past 2 years. It's engrained in them.
saintalan Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 I think you should ask Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha and Anni-Frid to answer this one... ...or The Who?
grammy Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Big Nige. Fitness & Coaching staff. No big ego's.
Badger Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 1)Adkins( man-management and tactics) 2)Winning mentality 3)Home form
Pilchards Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 1)Adkins( man-management and tactics) 2)Winning mentality 3)Home form Totally agree with all three. (1) Genius team of management he has. (2) Don't know when we are beaten. (3) Some teams are beaten even before they get off the coach at St Mary's as they know just how good we are so the opposition try to change styles to counter it.
Ade Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Only one reason why we are top...... nearly every opposition manager has made this clear.... Coventry manager Andy Thorn in this article http://www.football365.com/championship/7295067/Coventry-v-Southampton-reaction "They showed real character to get back into it but then we shot ourselves in the foot again and that's disappointing because when we got back to 2-2 I thought we were going to go on but credit to them they are a good side and they kept going but we gifted them goals."
Fan The Flames Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Because some of our goals are easy tap ins, but these managers dont care to admit that all the hard work had been put earlier in the move to create the simple finish.
Deano6 Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Mine are 1. Nigel Adkins tactics. 2. Rickie Lambert link up play. 3. Our Support this year. Let's not be over-generous here. It's easy to support a team when they're doing exceptionally well. Even Pompey got half-decent support when they were doing well in the Prem.

Ohio Saint Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 The Liebherrs money The Liebherrs money The Liebherrs money The money saved our skins, that's a fact. To deny any other factor in what happening today is nonsense though. To suggest this would be akin to saying that anything you ever achieved in your own life is solely due to the competence of the midwife that delivered you. Sorry to use a metaphor, but it's the easiest way to communicate with the terminally stupid.
1976_Child Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 1. Oil of Olay 2. Skimpy knickers rubbing up against sweet, succulent pussy. 3. Dream Satin Liquid from Maybelline And condoms. Lots and lots of condoms.
Shorty Bainbridge Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 1. Winning mentality 2. Good bunch of honest hard working lads 3. Great pitch that allows us to zip the ball about
cellone Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 1. The money spent on the dozen or so marquee signings this season. 2. The copious amount of gifted goals. 3. All the people who say "We always lose when I go" have stopped going.
ottery st mary Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 1. ottery..... for helping the manager to coach the side. 2. ottery..... for helping the manager to select the side. 3. ottery..... for taking that raw talent that the good looking boy Spiderman is and turning him into the world class midfielder he is today. WIFM

Sorry to use a metaphor, but it's the easiest way to communicate with the terminally stupid. He's right though. Markus's money didn't just save us, it's bankrolling us. We would never have attracted Pardew without the money. He would never have attracted Lambert and retained Lallana. Adkins would never have come to the club. We would not be in this position without the cash. Yes, we now have a manager and players who are doing fantastically well. But to use your analogy, if you'd had an incompetent midwife who failed to deliver you, how do you think you would be faring today...

However, it goes far beyond that since the initial injection and the cash-injected improvements made since then. I believe in evolution. We are evolving, and many of our improvements exist outside of the cash injection.

However, it goes far beyond that since the initial injection and the cash-injected improvements made since then. I believe in evolution. We are evolving, and many of our improvements exist outside of the cash injection. I'm delighted to find someone in the mid-west who believes in evolution. Thought you were all creationists. But seriously, while we can evolve, imagine how hard it is for clubs like Blackpool and Peterborough to do the same. We are ahead of 90% of the clubs in this division because of money. The other 10% (West Ham, Leicester, Leeds, Brighton) we are ahead of because we attracted a brilliant manager who is getting unbelievable performances from players all over the park. And it genuinely cannot hurt that our toughest game was a sellout!
PhilippineSaint Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Ball Pass Goal This as its the bloody obvious route to wining football matches
Matthew Le God Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 (edited) 1) Adkins' managerial genius 2) Liebherr's money 3) Cortese's business nous Of course the players have a key role, but 1 - 3 have given the club what was needed to make the conditions right for the players to be winning and to bring them to the club in the first place.
