MINIBARCELONASAINT Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 They were just on the telly; I've had farts longer than that.
Lighthouse Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 I just feel sorry for the League 2 clubs who stay up till 2am for 10 seconds of highlights.
The Kraken Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 It's probably a conspiracy. Or something else. Get over it. We were the main game for the previous 2 weeks. And tonight the second game. Stop bleating.
Jimmy_D Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 I'm personally pretty happy that every single goal of every single league team gets shown. Used to be that you'd be lucky to see all the goals on the local evening news, as they wouldn't always show them all, and if you missed it, you were stuffed as YouTube and iPlayer weren't around then... The first couple of seasons after dropping out of the Prem and away from MotD (or The Premiership on ITV >_
Wes Tender Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 We were actually mentioned ahead of the Match of the Day programme. That's got to be a first for us from in the second division.
doddisalegend Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Are Westham any good or just very lucky? I just expected them to be a lot better they looked pretty poor against Hull yet still won. Guly looked the dogs in those highlights wish they wouldn't call him julie though. LOL Fire alarm at boro.....though to be fair the place looked empty before the fire alarm.....
doddisalegend Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 If things carry on they way they are we can looked forward to being last on MOTD every week (unless we're playing a team from Manchester) followed by that cock Lawrenson slagging us off.....

West Ham were very very lucky, scored with their only two shots on target, and managed to keep fourteen shots on target from Hull out.
saint si Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Steve Cotterill continuing where he left off at fratton park... heavy defeat followed by "we were the better team"... tool.
Jimmy_D Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Jeez, so we're STILL the last team to beat Huddersfield?
Saint_clark Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Jeez, so we're STILL the last team to beat Huddersfield? 4 more and they'll have played an entire FL seasons worth of games unbeaten.
Appy Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Jeez, so we're STILL the last team to beat Huddersfield? Well yes, but Peterborough beat them in the only game they were 100% bothered about winning.
SNSUN Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Well yes, but Peterborough beat them in the only game they were 100% bothered about winning. Bottlers! The top of League One looks ruddy tough this year - tougher than last year I would say. Charlton have come from mid-tabledom last year to absolutely fly this year, Sheffield United will be itching to get back up too. Huddersfield perhaps deserve an auto spot, but may once again have to settle for the play-offs, and we all know how they fare in the play offs. It'll be interesting to watch it unfold.
Thedelldays Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Why do they keep saying Huddersfield are unbeaten? How does a playoff final not count as league football? It's the same competition, it counts in the goalscoring charts, counts with suspensions, they lost. so does fa cup.....they are unbeaten in the league..the playoffs are a mini compeition to see who goes up...you are not awarded points in the playoffs are you

They are 5 points behind Charlton, and only 2 points ahead of Wednesday. Could they manage to go the whole season unbeaten and not get promoted? That would be a quite unique accomplishment!

Could they manage to go the whole season unbeaten and not get promoted? That would be a quite unique accomplishment! Huddersfield finished third last season and deserved to be promoted on merit instead of being conned out of promotion by the money-grabbing Football League and their stupid play-off's. Promotion should be earned over the season and not left to chance, like Blackpool, who finished 6th two seasons ago. Why bother with a league programme, draw lots in August and have done with it.

CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Painful as it may be to admit, ex Pompey player or not, but you just have to say that Steve Claridge is a top bloke and a credit both to the game and the BBC. He even seems to be spending more time at St Marys than Fratton Park these days - so obviously a good judge of where to find quality entertainment to boot.

Written everal years ago , it pulls no punches and is brutally honest about his gambling addiction. For his sake, I hope that he has now overcome that. Edited 6 November, 2011 by Tamesaint
Sheaf Saint Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 West Ham were very very lucky, scored with their only two shots on target, and managed to keep fourteen shots on target from Hull out. Yep. I counted at least 5 world-class saves from Robert Green in those highlights. It could have been a very different story indeed.
Fan The Flames Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Minor observations; the commentator called Nigel Pearson Nigel Worthington and another said 'De Ridder got de forth goal', made me smile.
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 For that matter who is this 'font' bloke they keep on about ?
jawillwill Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 For that matter who is this 'font' bloke they keep on about ? He's one of our defenders.

Legod Third Coming Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Minor observations; the commentator called Nigel Pearson Nigel Worthington and another said 'De Ridder got de forth goal', made me smile. Yeah heard that 'da fourth goal'. Priceless.

For hi sake, I hope that he has no overcome that. Fair to say he's not "tee total" in the gambling stakes as I saw him leave ladbrooks in hedge end in a bit of a hurry during the week! Good analyst I'd say, and still banging in the goals (3 in 3 for gosport)!
MINIBARCELONASAINT Posted 6 November, 2011 Author Posted 6 November, 2011 Haha, started this thread in irony. It's ended up becoming ironic in a whole other way.
Secret Site Agent Posted 6 November, 2011 Posted 6 November, 2011 Steve Cotterill continuing where he left off at fratton park... heavy defeat followed by "we were the better team"... tool. I was hoping he was going to say that he is used to losing at Fratton Park.

For his sake, I hope that he has now overcome that. I regularly see him in my local bookies. Not that I've ever noticed him making big bets. My dislike for him has been easing in recent times
