Charlie Wayman Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 If you read between the lines of Nigel's interview on the OS he isn't really expecting to win this weekend... Hope the sentiment doesn't infect his players. I guess all you guys have had games where you felt beforehand in your gut that it was going to be dire, that's how I feel this week. Maybe it' s what comes of having too many breaks and not enough momentum?
Goalie66 Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 Mind games probably Jaidii and Seabourne !!
Avenue Saint Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 If you read between the lines of Nigel's interview on the OS he isn't really expecting to win this weekend... Hope the sentiment doesn't infect his players. I guess all you guys have had games where you felt beforehand in your gut that it was going to be dire, that's how I feel this week. saints_is_the_south Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 Lambert & Lallana are both shown a couple of times training in the interview video on Saints Player, Lambert in particular is shown crossing the ball into the box for who I think was actually Lallana (not 100% sure) to get a header in on goal. Perhaps Nige is playing mind games and the two players he is actually referring to is Jaidi and Seaborne, but trying to lull Brighton into a false sense of security thinking it may be one of our "big" players.
ericofarabia Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 I'll wave, and no I ain't taking the flag seems SMS has a thing against them these days If you keep waving, you'll probably get kisses blown back to you from the away support!!!
Saint Charlie Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 I saw all the first 11 and the only ones I couldn't see were Harding and Connolly, although Fox only appeared very briefly.
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 I saw all the first 11 and the only ones I couldn't see were Harding and Connolly, although Fox only appeared very briefly. That would be best outcome should it be harding and connolly that are injured. Fox and Guly keeping them out of the team at the moment so not too big of a miss especially if barnard fit enough for bench.
Mattio Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 I had us down to lose one the prediction league, just because noone else had us to but I don't think I can actually stand to put it!
yorkie Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 Think I maybe over reacting - seems like the definite no show is Rhadi (perhaps he should be introduced to Gus after his relaxed views on racism? - PS I'd like to see the outcome of that conversation) and the one doubt could be Barnard...so no need to panic after all! Bring on the mighty Reds - and let's go and kick some Brighton butt (or is that too homophobic?)
Cabrone Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 2-2, reckon it's going to be a good game this one. Jos and Chaplow.
JustinR Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 BRILLIANT- Poyet has now whipped up a mass media storm around his club... a wonderful distraction for their club and preparing for their biggest game of the season. Cheers Gus!!!!!!!!!!!
saint si Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 Apologies if already posted - great preview on the beeb http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15704862.stm
paris Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 I just love the positive attention that we're getting recently , so nice to see after our most recent most depressing times ....
Wallington Saint Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 Apologies if already posted - great preview on the beeb http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15704862.stm Interesting stat about the points totals of the previous two Championship winnners...I feel even more positivr now!
stkev7 Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 This has 3-3 and the best game of the season so far for the neutral written all over it.
ant Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 Well I've had an absolute stinker of a week, but 3 points tomorrow would be enough to make me completely forget about all that bullsh*t. Come on Saints, do us proud. Right now I'd take a scrappy 1-0 victory from an awful game, but if we could be greedy and top it off with a great performance that doesn't allow Brighton chance to start their negative tactics I'd be ecstatic. Hope the near-capacity crowd will be up for it.
Webby Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 Hope the near-capacity crowd will be up for it.I know I am!
nickfinks Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 Well up for this game, feeling very confident of our teams ability to either scrape a win, come from behind or win in an outright goal fest, i am happy with any of the these but a win is a must against a side struggling for form.. COYR, win this one for NC so he can take the **** out of GP AKA Knob cheese
dannysfc Posted 18 November, 2011 Posted 18 November, 2011 Am also looking forward to this one as well as I think we'l win 3-1 at least with goals coming from Lambert, Lallana n Fonte/Chaplow for Saints n CMS for Brighton but we'l see! Will be Good to be back there as my last game at home was Midboro as I missed the Peterboro one and that there should be a Sell Out crowd as well which will be Good! COYR !!!
offix Posted 19 November, 2011 Posted 19 November, 2011 I'll go with Saints 3 - 2 Brighton, Guly to score the winner just before time
Saint-Armstrong Posted 19 November, 2011 Posted 19 November, 2011 With a large crowd I hope to hear "Can you keep up with us!" or/and "You can't keep up with us!"
100%Red&White Posted 19 November, 2011 Posted 19 November, 2011 Just 'hundreds' probably single tickets remaining as of yesterday afternoon, last few should go this morning http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2520307,00.html Got to go for the tried-and-tested 3-1.
del boy Posted 19 November, 2011 Posted 19 November, 2011 I'm mentally prepared for the time wasting, gamesmanship and over acting from the Brighton boys this time, must just accept it and not get so despondent with their abuse of the beautiful game as I did last year. A Saints win would help but I've taken a precautionary insurance bet just in case.
Dr Who? Posted 19 November, 2011 Posted 19 November, 2011 The late show at their place last season was near the start of this very good run and really was a huge result for our season. I can just see the football gods making this the point of the end of are home winning run, and to one of the teams I really hope it would not come to an end against!!! 2-2
smackalec Posted 19 November, 2011 Posted 19 November, 2011 Taking my boy to his 1st game today. Can't wait. Really hope he catches the bug.
Cestrian Saint Posted 19 November, 2011 Posted 19 November, 2011 Saints good run to come to an end today. Down to earth with an almighty bump. Saints 0 Brighton 3.
GenevaSaint Posted 19 November, 2011 Posted 19 November, 2011 I bought a ticket at 10, limited availability. A few in Northam, block 4 and blocks 10- 14
