Brighton build up thread

If you read between the lines of Nigel's interview on the OS he isn't really expecting to win this weekend... Hope the sentiment doesn't infect his players.

I guess all you guys have had games where you felt beforehand in your gut that it was going to be dire, that's how I feel this week. Maybe it' s what comes of having too many breaks and not enough momentum?

Lambert & Lallana are both shown a couple of times training in the interview video on Saints Player, Lambert in particular is shown crossing the ball into the box for who I think was actually Lallana (not 100% sure) to get a header in on goal. Perhaps Nige is playing mind games and the two players he is actually referring to is Jaidi and Seaborne, but trying to lull Brighton into a false sense of security thinking it may be one of our "big" players.

Think I maybe over reacting - seems like the definite no show is Rhadi (perhaps he should be introduced to Gus after his relaxed views on racism? - PS I'd like to see the outcome of that conversation) and the one doubt could be Barnard...so no need to panic after all!

Bring on the mighty Reds - and let's go and kick some Brighton butt (or is that too homophobic?)

Well I've had an absolute stinker of a week, but 3 points tomorrow would be enough to make me completely forget about all that bullsh*t. Come on Saints, do us proud.

Right now I'd take a scrappy 1-0 victory from an awful game, but if we could be greedy and top it off with a great performance that doesn't allow Brighton chance to start their negative tactics I'd be ecstatic. Hope the near-capacity crowd will be up for it.

Well up for this game, feeling very confident of our teams ability to either scrape a win, come from behind or win in an outright goal fest, i am happy with any of the these but a win is a must against a side struggling for form.. COYR, win this one for NC so he can take the **** out of GP AKA Knob cheese

Am also looking forward to this one as well as I think we'l win 3-1 at least with goals coming from Lambert, Lallana n Fonte/Chaplow for Saints n CMS for Brighton but we'l see!

Will be Good to be back there as my last game at home was Midboro as I missed the Peterboro one and that there should be a Sell Out crowd as well which will be Good!

COYR :D!!!

I'm mentally prepared for the time wasting, gamesmanship and over acting from the Brighton boys this time, must just accept it and not get so despondent with their abuse of the beautiful game as I did last year. A Saints win would help but I've taken a precautionary insurance bet just in case.

The late show at their place last season was near the start of this very good run and really was a huge result for our season. I can just see the football gods making this the point of the end of are home winning run, and to one of the teams I really hope it would not come to an end against!!!

2-2

Sorry to hear this mate. Do what feels right about going to game - you will make the right choice.

Hopefully saints will do him proud today.

Cheers guys. Think I might as well go to the game' date=' no point stopping my whole life I guess. Just gotta try not to burst in to tears if we score lol[/quote']

Really sorry to hear that HS , lets hope the team give your dad a good send off ! Only you can decide what's right for you! And if you do go & want to cry, you cry don't hold it in no harm in showing your emotions on such a horrible day for you & your family.

All the best.

My deepest and most sincere sympathies. If you do go, sit with the Brighton fans where everyone else will be crying anyway. ;)

That's terrible, thoughts with you and your family at this horrible time, fair play for going to the game still though, I'm sure that's what he'd have wanted if he was a Saints fan :) WIFFHSD!
