Poyet said we’re rubbish and it’s never gonna last,

But he’s a Brighton bummer and he takes it up the a......

Oooooo Nigel Adkins..........."

I know, it's not big and it's not clever

I think we should steer clear of homophobic chants to be honest. BHA have reportedly taken the issue up with the FA, and to be honest it is offensive and moronic.

Let's be a bit classy and just take the **** of their second rate football ability!

Tbf you're right it was nawty but tongue in cheek may be it would be more suitable and we know nobody ever sings songs put on here anyway with...

He's to busy setting everyone else up, Rickie has to be one of the most unselfish strikers I've ever seen.

Him and Guly really - I think one of the key reasons why we are doing so well is that these two do so much work and give others tap ins! - We have had goals from about 8 players on a regular basis, if the strikers dont get on the score sheet then we have Jos, lallana, Forte, Hammond, Spider, Chappers...the lsit goes on

No idea how to call this one - the 2 week break, I think is a hinderance as there is a danger we lose a bit of momentum after winning 3 on the bounce. Brighton will be up for it, that's for sure so difficult to call. I am going for 2-0 after 0-0 at half time....

Take the **** out of them, for a generalisation that makes those singing it look thick, besides homophobic. I'm suspicious of people who are obsessed enough with the gay community to hate or fear them. I also didn't know it was politically correct to not hate gay people. Thought it was fairly sensible, unless you're an old school bible basher and/or daily mail columnist.

I'd far rather focus on that fact Brighton spent a year or more time wasting, diving and waving cards around. Poyet got success the only way he knew how, but it was hardly a win for football or fair play.

you really think someone singing "we can see you holding hands" has a "hatred or fear of gay people"?

football songs generally try and wind up the opposition fans, not saying this is a good song, but clearly this song isn't abusive of the gay community but uses them in an attempt to ridicule the people of Brighton

Bit of a contradiction there don't you think?

no, not really. it is only offensive if the Brighton fans deem having a large gay community is to the detrement of their town, if they rejoice in their town being known as such then it shouldn't wind them up so much. The song is not directly saying being gay is a bad thing.

Anyone who saw their game against West Ham will know that when they were put under pressure the passing game they try to play didn't work and Brighton players couldn't handle the West Ham players in their faces. We should aim to bully them, close them down quickly and generally put them under pressure and cause them to make mistakes.

I believe Hammond and Cork are set to start in midfield, which I think will be good as they both get stuck in and chase down the ball, not that Morgan hasn't been good. Chaplow will be vital to our game again, his constant ball chasing and niggling will force them to release the ball quickly. Up front Lambert and Guly should have the presence to push and pull the defence all over the place, and win a lot in the air.

Fox's set pieces and crosses and Jos's ariel threat should cause problems too. Oh yeah and that Lallana kid isnt bad. All in all I think we will out muscle them as well as out play them.

You Poof sod the PC brigade lets take the p!ss out of them

Because that will be both original and hillarious, I can't wait it will really wind them up and probably affect their team as well. Good plan Lady Boy.

I was chatting to a couple of Brighton mates and they think their problems this season is down to losing Murry and Bennett, Bennett was instramental in midfield and whilst CMS is probably a better footballer, Murry suited their style of play better. They beat Barnsley with two hoofing goals. So as long as we do our stuff we should be OK.

Its on my birthday, my first game since returning from Germany, all spells a defeat in my pessimistic eyes!

Luckily i am a glass half full guy so i am going to go for a 2-1 win! Us scoring the winner in the 91st minute to send St Marys in raptures and me getting a slight twitch at how good it is to be back.

Bringing two Albion fans to the game, so we had better win for the sake of my journey home. My impression is that their fans are a bit demoralised at the moment, despite the win against poor old Barnsley. I'm encouraging my two to have a good look at the ground and to buy a souvenir in the Saints Shop as they probably won't see St Marys' again for quite a few years.

Last year they came to spoil & ***** at the referee. Kishishev ran the match & they got a very dodgy penalty. I think they will do exactly the same again. Conscious CMS has the pace to cause us trouble, but I reckon we can win in a very tight game. Its going to be difficult to pick the 2 in the middle of the park. Its the kind of game Hammond loves, but Morgan played very very well up at Cov so not sure what Adkins will do.

It would be great to see Rickie bang in a couple too!!

Oh Gus, you cheeky chimpy you.....

We are going to the team at the top of the league,” said Poyet, pictured above, whose Brighton side ended a run of nine league games without a victory by beating Barnsley 2-0 at the weekend. “When we were top last year and people were coming to us they had nothing to lose.

“Anything you get from the game is great.

Now it’s the opposite for us.

“They are top for a reason. They are the best team in the league and they’ve been outstanding at home.

“We are going to go there and play.

“If we get something it will be spectacular.

“We are going to be in every single newspaper and on TV talking about how we stopped Southampton, which is great.”

Ha, you in block 11 mate? Try and move if/when they open blocks 1-3?

Yep, Chapel-Itchen corner. Not looking forward to it, but it'll probably be better than standing next to the tits at the top of 42. Decent shout about moving tickets, will give it a go if/when they open 1-3.

i do wonder if it is that close to selling out with 10 days to go until the game why they don't open that corner now? clearly the demand is there for it.

I can't see what all the fuss is about, apart from Brighton acting like stupid knobs last season over Adkins they are no more important than the next game. There is only one local derby, Portsmouth any other team's importance to us is based on their current form. The biggest competitor so far has been West Ham, then they thought we would roll over faced with their bully boy tactics. There is an unrealistic bombast based on their current form coming out of Brighton at the moment, the amount of noise they are making so early in the proceedings smells of fear. Adkins at Southampton last season made up all but three points by the end of the season, starting in 22nd place, way behind Brighton, so even last season Adkins outperformed them.

As for the now 'we only lost because we took our foot off the pedal' theme. Right, then what was the anti Adkins demonstration, the we didn't clap them on crap, anti Saints thing all about. The fact is they are wound up about us and the mere fact they don't matter any more in the importance stakes than the next match we have to play. The following Monday afternoon whatever the result Adkins will have drawn the blue line underneath it and moved on to the next game.

It could well be that apart from the confidence within the side, the fact that we have five players in the leading goalscorers and most importantly Adkins draws a line under the last game and then isolates the next game for preparation which doesn't allow the players to get out of focus.

You're exactly right Derry. But living in and working in Brighton means that I really really want to smash them.

By which you mean sing the same moronic chants they hear at every ground in the country? Whilst being homophobic, of course.

Fabbo idea.

Of course I could have meant take the P!ss out of Brighton without being Homophobic but no because i called you a poof for not being able to man up and accept that PC behaviour is not always acceptable and some people dont think PC is always right
