trousers Posted 4 November, 2011 Share Posted 4 November, 2011 Hughton won Manager of the Month And there was me thinking Birmingham hadn't played any league games since August....
david in sweden Posted 4 November, 2011 Share Posted 4 November, 2011 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/9341124.Lambert_and_Adkins_on_awards_shortlist/ Will probably go to Chris Hughton! Total waste of time - these "awards". Wait till the end of the season, when they've continually ignored Saints / NA.... and Gus Poyet will get the award for the brave fight to prevent Brighton being relegated to L1..... whilst Saints win promotion to Premiership !! They know what they can do with their award.
alpine_saint Posted 4 November, 2011 Share Posted 4 November, 2011 Chris Hughton it is, then. Why bother with nominees, if its only done on points ?? We've beaten the 2nd and 3rd teams, I cannot believe Brums opposition was tougher than that.

If you are top of the League, you're EXPECTED to beat everyone else - so no special award..... Next months award will go to ..MILLWALL, who seem to have found form recently and dragged themselves out of the relegation zone...
buctootim Posted 4 November, 2011 Share Posted 4 November, 2011 I dont see how a manager who has brought his team up from lg1 then goes top of the division top of the division is not deemed a worthy winner in any of the 4 months so far.
Kingsland Red Posted 4 November, 2011 Share Posted 4 November, 2011 Very bizarre - Hughton and Clyne. Has anyone on the panel ( Waldorf and Stadler excluded - respect!) spotted Saints are 5 points clear ?
channonball Posted 4 November, 2011 Share Posted 4 November, 2011 I'd rather 3 points then a poison challis, roll on Saturday!
LostBoys Posted 4 November, 2011 Share Posted 4 November, 2011 Who cares - I would rather be top of the league and ignored all season
DanW Posted 4 November, 2011 Share Posted 4 November, 2011 If you had the choice of one of the following, which would you choose? A) Manager of the Month B) Manager of the Year I know those are winnable at the same time, so it's possibly not a fair question, but I'm not upset about this decision as he so far is CLEARLY the Manager of the Year. And if things remain the same he will earn that award, which seems more prestigious to me.
pedg Posted 4 November, 2011 Share Posted 4 November, 2011 Would not be surprised if Cotterill gets it next month for the turn around at Notts Forest.

Away victories are given a higher rating than home victories - could explain Nigel's relatively low position in the table.
