Full time at Upton Park. 0-0. Saints 5 clear!!!

Significant, and although Boro win only confirms our great result on Saturday. How many points do we need for 17th ?

I wanted 3 points, a clean sheet, and 5 goals - but then again I'm greedy.

Shame we appear not to have really capitalised on the situation - but 3 points is good, especially as WH dropped points tonight.

Well done lads.

Am Pleased that Saints won for me as I'm away atm-But will be back for the Cov game on Saturday and will then be at the Brighton game after that!

That win makes it 16 straight home wins in a row or something which is Good and that the Train keeps on going!

Is Good that Chappers did Well yet again which is Good!

Bring On Cov Next!

COYR :D!!!

I hope Saints will not be so complacent in the future (If that was the case) It was OK for ME to feel complacent, but not THEM! LOL

It was you who started the tone with a celebration smoke instead of a lucky one early doors!!

always difficult against 10 men as they will sit back & try to hit you on the break.

didnt P'Boro get a draw at Leeds with 10 men ?

we got the 3 points & kept our amazing home run going so a good night with the bonus of West Ham drawing.

Good as 3 points are 3 points, but I think at 2-0 and the oppo down to 10 men I would have saved Adam for Saturday as he has just come back from an injury, and I would have taken my foot off the gas. But I am not a football manager at this level.

I still think NA will notice this, and he will take it on board. I do not think this will be a bad thing either, and will be a lesson for the future. We all live and learn.

No harm done, even though it could have been.

3 points and now on to Cov.... bring them on!!! COYRS!!!

I don't deny it. :(

But like I said, it's OK for me! Not the players!! :)

Mind you, they did win the league last year so we must remember they are better than us....LOL

They are defo not keeping up, but they will get a point like they did nearly a year ago at SMS. Do not think it will be 0-0 though!!

Barnsley finished in 17th on 56 points so only 23 points from 31 games needed !!!!!!

Two more than Pompey have at the moment, apparently.

No matter how annoying it is that we didn't give them a hammering, we still did our job. Dominated the game, scored two goals, and then created loads of chances to close the game down. P'boro sat back and defended and hoped for at freak goal - which they got - but the victory was never really in danger. Job well done (though a tonking would have been nice :)).

WHam result an extra bonus!

I'd just like to say I'm sorry for that last 15 minutes ... said to the old boy at half time that it would "sort of" be nice to have a team give us a game as it was getting a little boring! Thank god for this new Saints I'm sure we can all remember games from times gone by where that would have ended up as 2-2! Glad Chappers stuck it to mini Ferguson again and another super 3 points! Onwards and upwards! I still can't fully believe that I'm not dreaming!

Delighted with the win, delighted with the 3 points, delighted with the other results. Cant wait for Coventry at the weekend, an away win before we go into the international break really would make it a dream start. That said, if we lose, its still a dream start.

It shows how far we have come when I can't actually remember the last time I went into stoppage time with a squeaky bum!

It's always the same old story playing against 10 men because they will inevitably go a lot more defensive and it becomes much harder to break them down and expose gaps at the back, so it is very encouraging that we managed to get back into it and grab a point when we lost Hammond to a red card at Reading, but we didn't allow Posh to do the same thing to us because we already had the two goal cushion when they scored and closed the game out well by all accounts. Really can't complain.

Sounds like we made some good chances to increase the score when we were on top as well, but their keeper apparently made a couple of top quality saves.

5 point gap at the top, Pompey dropping to 20th with Burnley, Barnsley, Forest and Watford all winning - couldn't be happier really :)
