Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere as it seems to have gone un-noticed, but the match against Derby was his 100th league appearance for Saints, despite only being 21. That's some going!

compare it to someone like Gary Neville who made 400 league appearances for United in 19 years.

I was very pleased to hear he signed a new contract, he was excellent on Tuesday

thoughts?

He's got a touch of class and will only get better the older he gets and playing alongside better quality players and against better quality opposition. Apparently he is still on the radar of the French national side as "one for the future" so they obviously rate him.

I felt on Tuesday that I was seeing the midfield partnership for the next few seasons. They were both very impressive and worked well together.

What has impressed me about Morgan, sicne we went down to league 1, is he now puts in a challenge, and is quite successful at winning the ball back. In his first season he seemed to wimp out fo challenges.

If only he scored more goals....

Lovely, lovely lad. Have loved him from the time he arrived here. What a super star he's turning out to be and some of his comments on the OS confirm him as The Super Saint.

We are very lucky to have him, such integrity and determination; never whinges and just tries harder each time he drops to the bench.

Hands off all you PL posers, he's ours.

Morgan, Morgan gives us a wave!

My daughters think he is a good looking chap too...

When asked if they had noticed anything about his football..they both agreed that he is improving....

Like any youngster he has had to improve various parts of his game..

Tackling , heading , positional , decision making , stamina etc.......

Gradually he is getting there and May one day be a first pick..Is he the great player that some of his fan club advocate? NO..

Will he get there..YES, hopefully......Will he be the Arsenal player that his fan club suggest..who knows...

For Saints he will improve in the squad and hopefully turn in more consistent performances and prove the talent has not been wasted.

At the moment he is far from a first choice and unlike times in the past when he got games when he should have been no where near the side....he is now one of 5/6 midfield players and the manager can pick accordingly.

I think he is ever improving and hopefully stays with us for years to come playing alongside Ward-Prowse and Corby Moore and the like...

One of my prefered central midfielders. Would far rather him alongside Cork then having Hamster in the first eleven.Just love the way he can read play and stiffle the opposition just as comfortably as he can ping the ball around the pitch. Also his attacking movement has improved a great deal since Adkins took over, if only he had scored during that one-on-one with the 'keeper in the first few minutes v Walsall rather then get carted off injured.

I'm still a bit undecided about him. Yes, he is a quality passer of the ball, but I think his tackling is average at best and as he result he often gives away too many soft free kicks. He offers little going forward, doesn't break from midfield, offers little threat of scoring or breaking into the box. He should be improving after that many first team performances! Bit of a joke earlier in the thread where someone suggested the French National team were interested - no chance.

Back to op is shocking at how many cl superstar players in thier 30s have only just made 400th career appearance when Morgan has over 100 league appearances for us at 21

9 more years at 30 games a year still won't put him at 400.

In today's competitve environment with biggish squads, international breaks and Tuesday/Saturday sequences because of them 400 games is a good whack at any age.

Given that he played for the under 21's as recently as last season to say he isn't still on the radar as one for the future would seem a little short sighted. He has represented France at every level upto the under 21's and captained most of them so the French establishment clearly see something in him. Of course he may not make it David Prutton was once the highly regarded captain of Englands u21 side but I doubt they have written him off yet.

As far as I know Morgan is still part of Groupe France, meaning that the DTN keep an eye on him. If he's not getting regular first team football they may well get on at him again about it.As he's still on the list of "sportifs d'haut niveau" issued by the Ministry of

Youth and Sports the FFF are bound to check up on him all of the time.

Big fan of Spiderman, excellent player, superb vision and someone who has always given 100% to the team and clearly loves the Club. I would play Spiderman and Cork in the middle with AL and Chappers out wide. Think this midfield will destroy everything in the CCC. Our strength in midfield is a key influence in our perfromances to date, to think we can add Hammond, Holmes, De Ridder, Guly(might just be upfront now), Ward Prowse to those 4 players shows the strength in depth we have in midfield.
