saintmatt Posted 26 October, 2011 Share Posted 26 October, 2011 As I understand it.. We went into admin owing c.£25m, we paid off HMRC in full and Norwich Union (owed c.£20m for stadium) and Barclays (owed c.£4m overdraft) accepted c.20p in the pound. Skates went under owing c.£125m, all creditors (including HMRC and charities) accepted 10p in the pound. Can anyone correct/elaborate?

The Kraken Posted 26 October, 2011 Share Posted 26 October, 2011 Aside from your figures being miles off, what is the point in this thread? It's tedious, pointless, and as jam rightly says, covered elsewhere.
Prince Jazzbo Posted 27 October, 2011 Share Posted 27 October, 2011 I thought it was going to be a thread on the merits of our respective City Council administrations.

I think you'll Pompey have now offered those creditors who had agreed, I believe, 20p in the pound, 15% of that 20p in the pound and the first payment due in April 2012... Really no point in dragging it all up again, except to say your figures are way way out and at a high level, we didnt owe HMRC anything, all creditors were paid in full, with the exception Aviva and Barclays, who accepted an undisclosed settlement (Although we can guess as the total price for club was around 13 million less anything they deducted for the sale of Andrew Surman. JRM Posted 27 October, 2011 Share Posted 27 October, 2011 But who would you rather be right now? i know what you are saying, but if we were going to go into admin anyway we should have done it properly racking up huge debts and picking up a couple of trophies along the way, would have softened the blow a bit.
