SNSUN Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 Isn't Ward-Prowse the one we've been waiting for? I seem to remember people tipping him for big things. If so, excited! Adkins seems to have a policy of trying out a youngster in the cups where possible. Who next, Isgrove?
david in sweden Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 ..tomorrow night against Palace. I'm going so interested to see how he gets on. (Source: Radio Solent) Thoughts? at least we don't have to worry about losing 3 points and NA isn't going to let them take it easy either. Everyone has to start somewhere, so why not ? Remember those fans who said it was stupid to consider playing 16 year olds, like Walcott and Bale ... Ward-Prowse has had rave reviews for Academy nearly every time I've read about him. He deserves a chance.

dubai_phil Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 Good News Far rather the Youngsters get a full match day treatment and know they are going to start in a game llike this. The game IS still important after all, but not AS important as the league. It means that in the middle of the winter on some horrid windy Tuesday night oop north when Injuries or suspensions could be a factor, at least the kids know what to expect and what is expected of them. Build the experience and have them really up for the game as well. Wise decision again from NA as usual.

Littlelat17 Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 If hes starting centre mid, I guess it will be with Morgan?. NA has already said Bart, Martin, JWP De Ridder and Reeves will start.. so guessing the rest of the the starting XI will be something like BART Butterfield? MARTIN Hoover? Harding? DE RIDDER Schneiderlin? WARD-PROWSE Dickson? REEVES Forte with Guly, Lambert, Richardson, Cork, Chaplow, Dean and Davis on bench will certainly be interesting to see how we do

sandwichsaint Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 Really looking forward to this. If NA is playing them then I'm pretty sure they are good enough! In the context of us being top (I'll write that again TOP!) of the Champs and under fairly big pressure to go straight up this is a 'relatively' low-key game and a great opportunity to blood the yoof. I for one am really looking fd to seeing the next generation; I always remember seeing Lallana come on for 15 mins away at WBA and you could see in those 15 mins that he absolutely had it, tomorrow night we will get to see a couple of our new top-boys playing mens football for a full 90 minutes. Brilliant! You stay in the pub or send your tkts back - 2000 of us will be there backing the team - Saints to win on pens after 2-2 at 90 mins and 3-3 at extra time, loving the league but you can't beat floodlit cup football!
