Saint Garrett Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 Tickets saying 'Sold Out' on the OS which I'm assuming means that they've not yet gone up! Many people thinking of going? Went to Highfield Road but have heard that the Ricoh is a pretty soulless stadium but another to tick off all the same.

This is a classic case - you can only buy away tickets online once they have gone on general sale, when they are on to season ticket holders you can only call or buy in person as the website can't handle it. the tickets went on general sale today so i reckon they have forgotten to take the restriction off, you might as well call up as have to pay the ticket tax either way. saint cozza Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 Just tried to get some on general sale, waiting for a new batch that should be available at lunch time ish. markr27 Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 Just been down to the TO, stated the 'new' batch should have arrived last week, which may indicate a few ST holders have so far been unable to get tickets. Was advised to ring up, or book online............

JRM Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 Just spoke to ticket office , second batch of tickets has just arrived Good news that we have already sold the 1024 initial allocation with two weeks to go until the game, on general sale from today so we could take loads up there, Leicester took over 6000 first game of the season. Guess if we do well against Middlesbrough and Peterborough at home next two games will influence a lot of people on whether or not to make the trip, if we are still top then will be good to take over 3000 http://www.footballgroundguide.com/coventry_city/ http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2482474,00.html

JRM Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 Leicester to Coventry a bit like Southampton to Skatesville i know, my point is there won't be any problems getting tickets, if we want they will just keep opening more blocks of that end. It is quite misleading when they announce we have "an initial allocation of 1000" without mentioning we could have thousands more if we want them. the ground is just off junc 3 of the M6 so with a good run on the A34 you could get a car load up there in a couple of hours. JRM Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 Just got mine for this. Work out how to get to the ground from train station next. i've done it before, fairly easy just get the shuttle bus service which goes from near the station, my only advice would be leave a bit of time as with traffic it can take a while, and don't plan to get a train soon after the final whistle as it can take a while to get back to town. JRM Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 Isnt the ground about 4 miles outside of the city ? its a fair way, almost half way to Nuneaten - but its not too bad you just get the football special bus from station that takes you straight to the ground. Colinjb Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 Isnt the ground about 4 miles outside of the city ? About that. It's best to get a taxi or bus from the city centre to get there. A taxi from my house costs about 4 pounds up to Longford Road where there are a few pubs and a short walk to the Stadium.

Colinjb Posted 24 October, 2011 Share Posted 24 October, 2011 (edited) any particular car park you'd recommend for away fans Colin? It's tricky, there is a heavily enforced permit system in the residential streets around the stadium. If you want to park as near to the ground as possible then you can try your luck on Longford road for a pub or profiteering local retailer. If you spend over 25 pounds at the retail park next to the Ricoh and then display the receipt on your windscreen you'll be ok. Otherwise try street parking around 'Jubilee Crescent,' the centre of Radford, and just outside of the permit area and take a taxi up towards the Ricoh. From there it'll be at most about 3 quid. For taxis, central taxis on 02476 666666 is pretty much the best on offer. Edited 24 October, 2011 by Colinjb

Supply and demand though jrm if you think there are thousands you wait and then dont bother. Better sales pitch in my idea.

Saint Garrett Posted 1 November, 2011 Author Share Posted 1 November, 2011 I should imagine that you will be able to. Im guessing we will get as many tickets as we want pretty much, as Leicester took 6k or something when they played there.
