Roger Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Anyone know. Barnard close to bring on bench for derby but then had relapse then training again Tuesday! Must be there almost. Lallana we need for boro.
S-Clarke Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Barnard had another relapse of his injury, so no idea about him. Sounds long-term to me. Lallana was apparentley very close to being in the squad yesterday, but in the end he didn't travel - so you could glean from this that he's also had a recurrence too.
sammysaint Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Lallana is the key, without him we seem to be poor, would love to the win percentage he has when he plays compared to not. Lallana is the best attacking player in this league. LB well i reckon its to do with this court case but he is also missed, i prefer him to DC, DC is better coming off the bench iMO.

We were outstanding against Derby without him, and very effective against West Ham without him. Of course any team will miss him...but we've shown that we can still grind out results without him. He's very important to us, but I don't think we're poor whenever he's not in the team.
Weston Saint Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Lallana has suffered an injury to the arch of his foot. Scan does not show any major injury and it looks to be a short term problem. He had the same for 3 games last season but carried on with pain killing injections. Barnard said last Tuesday that he expected to be back in training in a week. It is an ankle injury which he has had since last season and it keeps re occurring.
Thatchamsaint Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Lallana did travel to Reading and was with the squad, he was signing autographs after the match and said he is very close to being fully fit.

Lallana did travel, Although with no intention of being in the squad. Could be back tuesday ( sub ).
Draino76 Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Who is Barnard Lallana? He sounds freaking awesome. HCDAJFU
Saint-scooby Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Barnard was buying a duvet set in West Quay yesterday with a stumpy blond thing.
Secret Site Agent Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Barnard was buying a duvet set in West Quay yesterday with a stumpy blond thing. Where could I buy one of these duvets with a stumpy blond thing on? My regular duvet has no stumpy blond thing and i feel i'm missing out.
The Cat Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Barnard was buying a duvet set in West Quay yesterday with a stumpy blond thing. He was paying for a duvet with Sammy Lee?
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Lallana did travel, Although with no intention of being in the squad. Could be back tuesday ( sub ).No intention of being in the squad !!!! what like Tevez had no intention of playing !!!??? LALLANA OUT !!!!
hypochondriac Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Was unlike that ITK Lallana poster to be wrong. Would hope Adam is back for Saturday.
CWD Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 At this level, without Lallana we are a good team. With him we are a great team.
trousers Posted 24 October, 2011 Posted 24 October, 2011 Adkins hinting on latest Saints Player interview (uploaded 45 mins ago) that Lallana will be available at the weekend vs Middlesborough: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/20111024/nigel-keen-on-teen-spirit_2264122_2492403 There again, I guess he would say that whether he was likely to be fit or not in order to keep the opposition on their toes
alpine_saint Posted 24 October, 2011 Posted 24 October, 2011 Sounds Lallana is close, would be good if he is back for Boro. As for Barnard, well we cant keep the momentum of our campaign going with only one in-form striker, so this is becoming a wee bit desperate...

As for Barnard, well we cant keep the momentum of our campaign going with only one in-form striker, so this is becoming a wee bit desperate... Loads of teams only have one in form striker, if that. We can and will score from all over the place as has already been demonstrated this season. Far better than only relying on your strikers

May have genuinely thought that, or just misleading Reading
SNSUN Posted 24 October, 2011 Posted 24 October, 2011 Who is Barnard Lallana? Wasn't he an old, French goalkeeper that played for PSG and West Ham? :-)
suewhistle Posted 24 October, 2011 Posted 24 October, 2011 Bernard Lama! Played in Euro 96 I remember. You must be a pub quiz or trivial pursuits expert to rival MLG!;-)
Jonnyboy Posted 24 October, 2011 Posted 24 October, 2011 Barnard was buying a duvet set in West Quay yesterday with a stumpy blond thing. Is he doing pre-emptive community service for amputees? Or maybe he's dating the CBeebies girl?
Window Cleaner Posted 2 November, 2011 Posted 2 November, 2011 Barnard played 45 minutes for the U21s last night (they got tonked by Bristol City by the way) Perhaps that's a good sign, not sure that we need him yet though.
Lighthouse Posted 2 November, 2011 Posted 2 November, 2011 Would prefer to see him at least on the bench at Coventry. DC isn't doing it at the moment and I've been a bit disappointed with his contribution for a few games now. Didn't really influence the game when he came on last night. Barnard would be my first choice along side Lambert when fit, although I suspect there will be a fair few sub appearances before then. How long has he been injured? Since March or April I think.
Whitey Grandad Posted 2 November, 2011 Posted 2 November, 2011 DC not doing it? Apart from his goal against Mboro what has he ever done for us?
70's Mike Posted 2 November, 2011 Posted 2 November, 2011 DC not doing it? Apart from his goal against Mboro what has he ever done for us? harsh if NA likes him that is good enough for me
Whitey Grandad Posted 2 November, 2011 Posted 2 November, 2011 harsh if NA likes him that is good enough for me Sorry, I was trying to be ironic. I'm with you.
