Chez Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3pPHUDnJDI lovin that. Great noise from us.
miserableoldgit Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 boozy day out, 3 Guineas was cracking... Vocal support throughout, spirited turn around at the end 3 of us fell into the row in front when de Ridder scored, the bloke in front also then domino-ed down a row! Looking for a cab back to the station we walked past all the buses and the massive queue, some blokes started fighting, and as a result we got to blag our way onto the first bus out without paying, managed to grab some beers and catch a train out immediately, magnificent... then home for a nice bit of cottage pie Didn`t realise that match tickets were that cheap!!
holepuncture Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Didn`t realise that match tickets were that cheap!! Tart! Hats off the chaps in the concourses with the barrels of Fosters on their backs, we just followed one around!
alpine_saint Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Okay. Positives. 1. SDR Scored. 2. SDR celebrated well. 3. Rest of team celebrated well. 4. Fans celebrated well. 5. We got a point. Negative 1. WE WERE F*****G ****. An excellent summary. Some serious soul-searching about how up we are for away games, I think.
The Kraken Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 An excellent summary. Some serious soul-searching about how up we are for away games, I think. Dear me. The one thing you couldn't criticise yesterday was the effort the players put in. Hammond was so "up for it" that he got himself sent off. The effort and fitness of our players compared to their's when we were down to ten men and in the final 15-20 minutes was phenomenal. Two away draws against two form teams in the division; what a disaster.

The problem being that another performance like that will see u's promptly d*cked.

I was more responding to the accusation that questioned how "up for it" the players are for away games, which is nonsense IMO.

EastleighSoulBoy Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 We had a good day out, stopping at the Jeckyll & Hyde (A33) Good beer, sh!te baked potato. Then the Bell at Grazely, where the young numpty behind the bar noticed our sons in colours and actually told me no away fans! Feck me...3 miles off the A33, 2 X 50+ fellas with two young boys....hardly going to tear the place apart! Still served me though...odd. Parked easily at Wharton Grange (£8 and a ten minute walk). Support was fantastic, Reading had really done their homework and encountered us on one of our less inventive days. Chaplow was my man of the match alongside my fellow fans who kept bellowing the ten men on to a point. I feel we are missing Lallana. First time at the Madejski and I was impressed at the way the seating was laid out with a decent drop from row to row. Everybody stood but nippers did not need to stand on their seats. Although I thought that their concourse was rather cramped.
adrian lord Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3pPHUDnJDI Excellent singing on this clip, you can feel the power of it.

Not enough info on it. What sort of mince did you have, lamb, beef or turkey, for example ? Thanks.

Window Cleaner Posted 23 October, 2011 Posted 23 October, 2011 Without wishing to appear pedantic, Cottage Pie is beef, Shepherd Pie is lamb and f*** knows what minced turkey pie is!! You should adopt the more global "Haché Parmentier" at least you don't need to know what meat is in it to get the name right.

Thank you mog for putting me right. You may appear as pedantic as you wish (as long as it is not as pedantic as our resident pedant - no offence MLG) As someone who does not eat the aforesaid beef or lamb in any shape or form I am indebted to you for the information. However Mrs JGH and JGH jnr and myself do eat something of simiilar description with turkey mince which is very nice too thank you very much. We also eat cottage pie with fish which would be Fisherman's Pie and is also very nice. I haven't thought of a name for our cottage pie with turkey mince - perhaps other posters on here might be able to help with this. I may even start a new thread asking for suggestions along those lines.

saint1977 Posted 24 October, 2011 Posted 24 October, 2011 Reading did their homework but we're easy to set up against without pace and options in behind them. Teams can play a high line and press with impunity, knowing everything will be played in front of them. And how many of our players can genuinely beat a man in a one on one situation? Spot on and I also agree with the poster below about Connolly. Guly takes a lot of stick and he was poor on Saturday but still contributed a sublime flick for the goal and his workrate was there. Connolly was great early on but Eddie Howe and now Heston Blumenthal at Reading have worked us out - no pace so press however much you like. Give Connolly a rest for a few games to get his zip back and give SDR a start and Forte on the bench until Barney is fit, that'll enable us to turn teams. Or, play Guly up front and tell him to run in behind once Lallana is fit again?

Please allow me to expand on the subject of my dinner on this wonderful football discussion forum To confuse matters further, I did not go home... that was an outright lie on my part... but the pub may as well be primary residence for the context of this discussion To really blow your minds, I went for the Steak and Ale pie, however the wench delivered the killer blow when she chalked it off the menu. After I had picked myself up and got back on my feet, I was informed I could have a cottage pie, and that it would be a hybrid between a steak and ale + cottage effort. I backed the hybrid all the way and I was not disappointed = big lumps of steak in ale gravy, with a cottage pie style dumping of mash on top - top effort from the wench and a turnaround as impressive as Stevie De Riddos blast at the MadStad I had a starter too, not a ****ing clue what it was but I recall a positive experience upon completion of funneling. I sincerely hope this information is of help to you

david in sweden Posted 24 October, 2011 Posted 24 October, 2011 Adkins should have started him. Poor management from him today. IMPACT player, Dune..IMPACT player. If he'd have been on for all 94 minutes, Reading would have... sussed him out /crippled him and he would never have had the speed to counter and score THAT goal in the 80th minute..
