Saint Malc Posted 21 October, 2011 Share Posted 21 October, 2011 The last time we played Reading away Virgin Trains, in their wisdom, decided to put on their service with only 4 carriages and we had the most uncomfortable journey ever from Winchester (reminded me a bit of the JPT final but that time the train company didn't allow us on the train). Tomorrow we're going to go to Brockenhurst first to try and ensure a more comfortable journey.
ladysaint Posted 21 October, 2011 Share Posted 21 October, 2011 also going by train tomorrow only problem I had last time was getting back from the stadium to the station we were directed to the wrong bus queue.

LGTL Posted 21 October, 2011 Share Posted 21 October, 2011 Also going via Basingstoke, 8 of us on two 4 groupsaves, lovely. We are getting the 10.51 out of central so a bit of an all dayer, i'll be lucky to make kick off.
Sour Mash Posted 21 October, 2011 Share Posted 21 October, 2011 Train nightmares. Alright with you mate? Not really, as we haven't played Reading away since the JPT final, so not sure how when on the train to Reading away you could have been reminded of the JPT final, unless you had some sort of ability to see over crowded trains in the future. Don't worry I'm just being a pedantic c**t.

Tomorrow we're going to go to Brockenhurst first to try and ensure a more comfortable journey. Those trains always have 4 or 5 carriages, far better would be to get a SWT service to Basingstoke and change for the First Great Western service to Reading, probably more comfortable. Pedro Posted 22 October, 2011 Share Posted 22 October, 2011 Solent were quoting an hour delay, hope you all have a great game, will be watching/listening for the noise, depending upon work call outs. COYS
Kingsland Nick Posted 22 October, 2011 Share Posted 22 October, 2011 change for the First Great Western service to Reading, probably more comfortable. Except that they usually only have 2 carriages.

Oooops - standby for multiple traffic delays due to taffic light signals failure, over turned caravan (Skatesmuff sabotage plot to stop us looking well supported on TV) and 10 inches of snow - due to tempting fate posts!! Nearly as bad as those old clappy hand EASY smiley things!!
