Network hubs

Anyone recommend a cheap router hub. I want to do away with the wireless, use a single cable out of the virgin super hub router to a new postion this will then split to feed the xbox, PC and PS3. I asume its only a matter of plugging everything in and off you go.

Should be. For extra speed best to get a switch than a hub (switches can identify which cable to send data through where as hubs resends data down all connections, I think!).

Spot on. Steer clear of hubs. Get a cheap switch. Be careful how cheap though as some can be really noisy if they have a fan in.

 

Don't need to configure anything as all ports will talk to each other by default

http://www.ebuyer.com/225791-tenda-5-port-gigabit-switch-g1005d is a good deal faster as its Gigabit - if your devices can handle it. If its just for external internet access then probably overkill but its more futureproof than the 10/100 router.
