Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 19 October, 2011 Posted 19 October, 2011 http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/oct/18/southampton-west-ham-united-championship Enjoy!
Dig Dig Posted 19 October, 2011 Posted 19 October, 2011 saw this last night but couldn't post on here as was using the Guardian app. Amazing how much it contrasts with the Telegraph match report someone posted on here.
Saint_clark Posted 19 October, 2011 Posted 19 October, 2011 Pretty sure Adkins didn't say "This was our biggest test yet". Whenever i've seen him asked that he's avoided it, preferring to focus on the Saints rather than the opposition.
saintmatt Posted 19 October, 2011 Posted 19 October, 2011 "hammers maybe play too much football for their own good when sometimes a more direct approach would suffice" - in the sun today...
Saint_clark Posted 19 October, 2011 Posted 19 October, 2011 "hammers maybe play too much football for their own good when sometimes a more direct approach would suffice" - in the sun today... Jesus H christ.
Toadhall Saint Posted 19 October, 2011 Posted 19 October, 2011 "hammers maybe play too much football for their own good when sometimes a more direct approach would suffice" - in the sun today... That would suggest to me that the Sun journo wasn't even at the game. West Ham have always been a good footballing side from last nights showing that is no longer the case and if I were a WHU fan I would not be happy.
This Charming Man Posted 19 October, 2011 Posted 19 October, 2011 "hammers maybe play too much football for their own good when sometimes a more direct approach would suffice" - in the sun today... I didn't realise The Sun did sarcasm.

I was bored enough on my lunch to have a browse on their forum and it would seem a good deal of them aren't that happy with Big Sam's style. Though I imagine they were all over the moon at the weekend when they humped Blackpool. They will still be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

No doubt about that but when you have been brought up on (non hoof) football it must hurt to see 70 - 75 mins of it.

dune Posted 19 October, 2011 Posted 19 October, 2011 I refuse to click links to Guardian articles. There is a great report in the Daily Mail for like minded non commies. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2050627/Southampton-1-West-Ham-0-Saints-display-title-credentials-hard-fought-win.html
The9 Posted 19 October, 2011 Posted 19 October, 2011 We just spent two years in League One and I didn't once see a team try to play the kind of random long ball hoofing that West Ham did last night. Makes those comments about Pardew at Saints playing "hoofball" all the more ridiculous when you actually see it happen and compare the two.

Your Avatar looks like Ann Coulter, only better dressed.
