Piped up well I thought - especially bearing in mind that there was likely a large number of people in 1, 2 and 3 that aren't regulars.. Great to have vocal fans either side of the away support. From Block 42 I had no idea whether the West Ham fans were loud or not because the Northam/Itchen North end of the stadium was rocking virtually all game.

I had to sit in the Chapel last night, so I had the chance to listen to the Northam, West Ham and Blocks 1,2 and 3.

West Ham were very effective - on the very few occassions they sang "bubbles" - they were loud and clear. They were louder than the Northam, who were hard to hear from the Chapel. So it may have been rocking but we couldn't hear much of it in the Chapel. I still think we should have a whole end for our singers, 4,000+ singing together would really be eefective.

I thought the Itchen North were excellent last night, as someone has already said especially considering it would have been made up of a fairly random mix of saints fans that bought at the last minute. However, the rest of the ground was really poor apart from one occassion that Chapel got going. Why do people bother standing in the Northam and then don't bother getting behind the side? Why can't so many of our fans sing OWTS properly? Or any song that doesn't involve clapping furiously like the "Red and White Barmy Army", which sounds gay as f**k? And huge sections of our support just don't get involved full stop. Few 50/50 decisions that went against us in-front of the Kingsland and not one person jumped up or reacted. You've got about 8k people in the stand sat their pretty much comatose - bad enough for most games, unbelievable for a first v second clash like last night.
