pap Posted 17 October, 2011 Share Posted 17 October, 2011 A few news stories have linked Dave Jones, erstwhile of Southampton and Cardiff, with the vacant Pompey job. Normally I'd be miffed if a former Saints manager went to Pompey, but given the circumstances behind his exit from the club, I wouldn't blame Jones for taking the role. Would add some extra spice to this year's derbies, if that's even possible. Thoughts?
OVER THE HILL Posted 17 October, 2011 Share Posted 17 October, 2011 A decent man and good manager - in other words not right for them! They deserve another total prat like Clot.
scotty Posted 17 October, 2011 Share Posted 17 October, 2011 If he gets the skates job I shudder to think about some of the SMS chants headed for him. I'm not saying its right, just saying.
norwaysaint Posted 17 October, 2011 Share Posted 17 October, 2011 He'd be a very good choice for them. Hope they get someone else, maybe Stuart Gray.
OVER THE HILL Posted 17 October, 2011 Share Posted 17 October, 2011 Sean O'Driscoll would be good for them, they may even try to play football the right way.

Probably no different to the chants Pompey fan's had for him during his last few months with us.

Badger Posted 18 October, 2011 Share Posted 18 October, 2011 I heard Jones declined to speak to Bristol City possibly due to one of two reasons, either restrictions placed on him by Cardiff or has the skates job lined up. Not sure if Cardiff could impose such restrictive terms on his severance though.
