Why have we got 20million pound worth of loaned debt? Did Liebher not pay off our debt?

The accounts for DMWSL 613 Limited show £20.4m in new loans from the shareholder. I made it non-repayable ( until shown to be otherwise) so it doesn't make a lot of difference.

Right, had a bit of a go on it, pretty impressed so far. Looking forward to the full version. This is my team as of the 3rd game of the season:

----------------LOACH-------------------

DU-RI-----FONTE-----MATERAZZI-----FOX

GULY-------CORK-----DAVIS------LALLANA

--------LAMBERT-----SORDELL------------

Subs: Davis, Hooiveld, Schneiderlin, De Ridder, Connolly

Got bids in for Jimmy Kebe and Jeffrey Schlupp as well to give us a bit more pace in the side.

I'm absolutely loving the demo, can't wait for the full-game now. Such a massive step up in this version, you feel so much more involved and in-control of what's going on. And finally MLG has fixed Lallana's corners! ;)

Loving the game at the mo, really enjoying the layout and the team talk improvements.

However, anyone else experiencing a lot of injuries? One game into the season and I have Barnard, Lambert and Connolly all out long term for injuries in pre-season, then Guly got an injury during the first game, replaced him with Forte who scored, then got a 4 month injury 10 minutes later! Jamie Mackie (signed from QPR for £1m) is now the only recognised striker I have fit!

Oh but loving how awesome Lallana is. Have him playing as an advanced playmaker on the left wing, and he's yet to get a rating below 7.5!

I can't even get Steam to update. It gets so far then just starts again. Doesn't help when the broadband where I live is apocalyptically slow. I realise a certain someone will disagree with me but I don't think compulsory Steam use is a good thing by any means.

Right on cue, I get a third of the way through after about 40 minutes and it tells me I'm offline. When I'm not. So now I have to start again, although there's no point seeing as it'll only cut off again.

What a joke.

How utterly ridiculous. I got to 35,000kb out of 38,000 and it stopped and started over again. PATHETIC.

What a giant backwards step SI have made.

Steam downloads shouldn't be starting from the beginning, they always carry on from where they stopped.

If anyone spots any objective Saints data for players/staff/club etc that they would like changed for any patches/data updates, now is a good time to let me know! Subjective things like player stats/CA's/PA's will change in the January update.

Not for me. I've had a look on the forums and one other person suffered the same problem, countless others find that they open Steam and it runs an update each time, no obvious fix and a load of solutions that are suddenly unsolved with a new update.

I've managed to find a link to download the programme with the update already on it, downloading it now at a painful 14.5kb a second...

We have one of the best scouting networks and high performing youth set ups from U9's right the way up, for the last decade we have knocked through an established talent every other year (usually once a year).

Football Manager has never reflected this, the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool etc Youth always turn down a friendly with my under 18's as well.

This needs addressing, yes we have a Championship side but we have I'd say the 15th most respected youth academy in europe and should be able to attract better young talent.

EDIT: by the way MLG, a lot of respect for your ratings and work on FM so its not a massive dig.

I'm confused, have you seen what Saints have in this area for FM12?

- State of the art youth facilities (joint 1st in England on FM12)

- Good junior coaching (joint 3rd in England on FM12)

- Well established youth recruitment (2nd in England on FM12)

Meaning they have one of the best youth set-ups in England on FM12. It has also been highly rated in previous FM's.

Yes, I have seen all these stats before, however, regardless if I am Southampton or another team, it is massively inconsistant in producing players on my game last year.

Finally got Steam to install but it still asks for an update each time I open it. Oddly I can get around it by just quitting and starting it again, but the speed to download the demo was so pathetic I gave up.

I'll just wait for the game itself to come out, but I just think it's a massive mistake to make using Steam compulsory. There is always a way round copyrighting, this won't solve it the same way keygens and disc protection didn't.

We shall see. Anyway. 12 days to go now isn't it?

Watford want £8million for Sordell.

Huddersfield want £4million for Rhodes.

Peterbrough want £3million for Lewis (not too bad)

Burnley want £13million for Rodriguez.

WTF??

I signed Sordell for £5m, I had a deal agreed for Lewis for £2.1m before I signed Scott Loach instead and Burnley quoted me £8m for Rodriguez, although I reckon they'd sell for about £6-7m.

Haggle ffs!

Thank you for your advice, I would have never of thought to haggle/negotiate.

Chill out sailor, i'm just pointing out that the asking prices you put up were much higher than the ones I and others have signed those players for. Maybe it's that save game.

In the last version I would usually just select "non-negotiable" when making a bid, and slowly increase it each time I got rejected until I found their breaking point. That may have been fixed in this version but if not that's the best method to use.

But is it as good as cm01/02?? Doubt it is my guess

My Fav was CM04 just really played as I wanted it to without geting to mental into the whole back room options

I miss the days of poaching Lee Bowyer on a free from Charlton and always bidding for Simon Davies and Matty Etherington from peterborough! Then scouting scandinavia and buying Tommy Svidal Larson and Kennedy Bakircioglu!

Posted

CM2 was the best... Arthur Petrossian (Armenia), Tommy Svindal Larsen, Erik Nevland, Jermaine Wright (yes, him!), Colin Murdoch from Preston for £5k, Bjorn Heidenstrom from Leyton Orient... I would do anything to play this game again.

which was the version where they had some of the game creators in the database..im sure it was an amiga version.....class game regardless

Every version has some of the SI staff in the database, I know for a fact there are a few in the FM12 demo as 15 year old youngsters at 'awful' clubs...
