ecuk268 Posted 5 October, 2011 Share Posted 5 October, 2011 Died age 52. Decent fast bowler in his day. Also capable of getting a few runs. 41 Tests including the famous '81 series against the Aussies.

Weston Saint Posted 5 October, 2011 Share Posted 5 October, 2011 Very Sad, Spoke to him to the Rose Bowl in 2010 when he came down with the Uni side. Pleasant man who told me how, in his early years he was asked to play club cricket in South Africa. Walked out to bowl and found the team he was playing against had a number of SA test players including G Pollock. He was a great admirer of Malcolm Marshall
hutch Posted 6 October, 2011 Share Posted 6 October, 2011 "Lillee caught Willey bowled Dilley" is still one of my all time favourite lines. RIP.
Kingsland Codger Posted 9 October, 2011 Share Posted 9 October, 2011 Headingly 1981. Remembered for Willis's 8 for 43 and Botham's second innings 149 not out - and for Dilley's innings alongside him. 56 runs which helped win the Test. RIP.
