Appy Posted 3 October, 2011 Share Posted 3 October, 2011 Was it me or was the competition to see who could score with the big footballs fixed? I'm pretty sure the adult doing it at half time on Saturday was the little girl's father.
ant Posted 3 October, 2011 Share Posted 3 October, 2011 What?! This is outrageous! Next you'll be telling me that the bald bloke with the mic fed her the answers! Or that Nicola Cortese doesn't really f*cking hate Pompey!
Saint Posted 3 October, 2011 Share Posted 3 October, 2011 Was it me or was the competition to see who could score with the big footballs fixed? Lol. Umm...yes it was fixed. And yes it was her Dad, that's how they do it. Rightly so I think. I remember when they did the higher or lower shirt number competition and some middle aged bloke beating a 9 year old to a signed shirt. Pretty embarassing. If I was him I would have given it to the poor kid afterwards.

sambosa75 Posted 3 October, 2011 Share Posted 3 October, 2011 Not really a huge fan of half time entertainment but did anyone reading this thread see the entertainment at Leicester away? They had a relay race of 6 saints kids and 6 Leicester kids running around the perimeter of the pitch. It was actually very funny and the first time I have seen the whole crowd properly get into the entertainment.

Lighthouse Posted 3 October, 2011 Share Posted 3 October, 2011 Wycombe had the best HT entertainment I've seen when we went there a couple of seasons ago. A penalty shoot out between 2 local kids teams, with Saints supporting the team shooting into our goal and Wycombe shooting into the goal at the other end. The Saints fans were all properly getting behind the kids and cheering loudly when they scored. Nice to see, especially as the kids were actually from Wycombe. Colbury Posted 3 October, 2011 Share Posted 3 October, 2011 Shocking half time entertainment. That bald c*nt is an utter clown... He doesn't even let the 2 participants kick the ball themselves most of the time. Pointless, cringeworthy, un-funny and very annoying. Think I'll drink my half time bovril in the concourse in future. Doing things like this that involve kids from both sides usually get the crowd going.

I've got to say, I think he's better than the last guy. At least he doesn't dance and shout at the Northam Stand. And he reads the lads names properly. Slight edit of your post which I agree with. I've got to say, I think he's better than the last guy. At least he doesn't dance and shout at the Northam Stand. And he reads the lads names properly. Disagree, the current announcer just sounds a camp bender, and is an embarrasment.
Badger Posted 3 October, 2011 Share Posted 3 October, 2011 Get the Albion Band back I say. The only thing better than the Albion Band is an RAF Dog display, with the laughing Policeman on duty.

I was going to mention that when I brought it up but didn't just in case it was only me paying attention!
