They were stupid to get rid of Davies. No matter how much I disliked the man, he over achieved with them, but the board saw that as failer not to get promoted, I knew they would stuggle without him.

Actually I don't think we've got anything against Forest. Just an old terrace chant.

Martin O'Neill the favourite.

I'm about to ring every estate agent in Nottingham. Might be a while.

It's a long commute from Winchester.

Bottler. All he seemed to do the whole time at forest was complain about the players he wasn't allowed to buy/loan the thought of coaching the ones he had to play better didn't seem to be on his agenda. Sadly Leicester seem to be getting better so Sven is unlikely to be next............

Sven Goran Eriksson is actually a VERY good manager. England were just overrated during his tenure.

McClaren is very hit and miss though. He has done alright abroad on occasion. Did well at Middlesbrough, not so well at England and Nottingham Forest.

I too loathed him but as a pundit later he said Saints were a great set up and a lovely club. Fickle but i then liked him after that

Yer, I can't see why Poyet would move. Has a pretty decent set up at Brighton now and could prove himself as a manager by getting Brighton to the Premiership, before moving on to a bigger club than Nottingham Forest(who despite their history, aren't massive anymore).

I've been scouring the internet for another cleaning pun' date=' but I cant find one[/quote']

He was quoted, before he resigned that he was fed up using the British Universal Grit Grime and Effluent Remover so he did !!!

I didn't used to have anything against them until we played them recently at St Mary's and had some disgusting fat adolescent voice the word "scumbag" - through his thick as sh!t east midlands accent -at my son, whilst another scummy little adolescent spat out of a coach at Saints supporters walking by.

Vile plebs from an insignificant sh!thole, neither in the south nor the north. Hope they continue to spiral downwards on the course McLaren has set them on.

I hate this. I'm no England fan but if you think he got the best out of those players I'm amazed. He took a kid to the world cup he admitted he had no intention of playing. The failures of previous or future teams has no baring on his time in charge, yet people always let it affect their outlook. Never said he should win it, get to any stage in particular, just get the best out the team and slowly improve. He made England caps worthless the rate he dished them out, showed zero passion and made utterly bizarre selections. If we hadn't stuffed Germany he'd have gone sooner, he lived off that for years. Qualifying from easy groups is only seen as achievement because Taylor and mclaren ballsed it up, but again, it's irrelevant to a different manager at a different time. Besides, needing a last minute equaliser at home to greece isn't so different to needing a win at home to Croatia. Very fine lines. Be kham came through for Sven and Carson messed up for mclaren.

I dislike him mainly because he's a mercenary. There's nowhere he wouldn't go for the money. Doing well in Italy 20 years ago doesn't really cut it for me. Notts county, Mexico? Utter mess. Mexico seemed to improve without him.

IMO Leicester will fail because they won't find consistency. I've not seen any Sven team find it. They'll have some form but if they lose the playoffs it'll be another sacking and big payoff, and on to another job.

He reminds me of burley in some ways.

Not keen on him then.

"Liverpool", not West Brom

You'll find it scans better it was always Liverpool in the 60s/70s (used to add "and West Ham" after Liverpool too).

Forest were one of our bogey team for years and years, we have plenty of history with them, 2 Wembley finals, never forgiven them.

Still, thought it would be Sven first before McClaren, just shows that some of these managers really don't know the game outside of the Premier League.
