Rut Posted 2 October, 2011 Posted 2 October, 2011 http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Potters&action=display&thread=176003 Not too bad at all.
waggy Posted 2 October, 2011 Posted 2 October, 2011 seeing as we're their 'feeder' club they should like us ;0)
RobM Posted 2 October, 2011 Posted 2 October, 2011 seeing as we're their 'feeder' club they should like us ;0) I quite like Stoke, simply because there are so many ex-Saints there! They also have a fine choice of home kit design
bpsaint Posted 2 October, 2011 Posted 2 October, 2011 "That Rickie Lambert will be in the Premier League soon - he's like Kevin Davies but good." Top quote.
The9 Posted 2 October, 2011 Posted 2 October, 2011 With the exception of the bloke who doesn't like Brighton I'd say they are pretty ill-informed.
Badger Posted 2 October, 2011 Posted 2 October, 2011 I quite like Stoke, simply because there are so many ex-Saints there! They also have a fine choice of home kit design I can't stand Stoke, mainly because Pulis is a c^nt,and they play hoofball etc.
Big_Bald_Si Posted 2 October, 2011 Posted 2 October, 2011 Why are they talking about us anyway? It's the equivalent to us starting a thread on Charlton, and saying what a great season they're having.
Spudders Posted 2 October, 2011 Posted 2 October, 2011 I dislike Stoke this evening due to their inability to beat Swansea, meaning I lost out on £70.
niceandfriendly Posted 2 October, 2011 Posted 2 October, 2011 Why are they talking about us anyway? It's the equivalent to us starting a thread on Charlton, and saying what a great season they're having. Football fans talking about football shocker!
RobM Posted 2 October, 2011 Posted 2 October, 2011 Why are they talking about us anyway? It's the equivalent to us starting a thread on Charlton, and saying what a great season they're having. Don't be daft, it's nothing like it. Charlton don't play in red and white stripes
Danish Saint Posted 2 October, 2011 Posted 2 October, 2011 Stoke are the northern Saints That makes Sunderland what?
SO16_Saint Posted 2 October, 2011 Posted 2 October, 2011 That makes Sunderland what? The Red and White Newcastle Utd
The9 Posted 3 October, 2011 Posted 3 October, 2011 Lambert's hardly young. That was the one bit they did get right, they were being sarcastic about their failure to sign young English players despite being promised them and said he'd be what they ended up with. Of course even that ignores that we're unlikely to sell...
Dan Johnson Posted 3 October, 2011 Posted 3 October, 2011 Stoke have certainly won me over in the last few years, I think Pulis has done a top top job there, with the players he's signed he's turned them into an Established premier league side, allot of quailty. They should be the blue print for any club coming up from the prem in my opionion, the football they play may not be to everyones choice, but its obvious from their recent signings that they're trying to change that. Woodgate, crouch, Palacios, pennant... they can all play a bit. Good to see sooo many ex saints there too Fuller, Delap, Higgy, Jones, Crouch
OVER THE HILL Posted 3 October, 2011 Posted 3 October, 2011 I think you will find that Stoke have spent a lot of money on players the last few years hence their improved league position and there is nothing to like about Pulis.
sambosa75 Posted 3 October, 2011 Posted 3 October, 2011 Pretty sure it was Huddersfield we fended off and not Sheff Weds...
Badger Posted 3 October, 2011 Posted 3 October, 2011 I think you will find that Stoke have spent a lot of money on players the last few years hence their improved league position and there is nothing to like about Pulis. Spot on. As the good book reminds us, "on the first day there was Tony Pulis.Who begat Anthony Pulis.." Another reason to dislike the f^cker.
Dark Munster Posted 3 October, 2011 Posted 3 October, 2011 Why are they talking about us anyway? It's the equivalent to us starting a thread on Charlton, and saying what a great season they're having. Maybe it's because half their team are ex-Saints (and some of them want to add Lambert to that list).
Thedelldays Posted 4 October, 2011 Posted 4 October, 2011 They are a football club that does not play football
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 4 October, 2011 Posted 4 October, 2011 The thought of Saints becoming a mid table hoofball team in the so called 'Promised land' is fecking depressing, it must be shyte supporting that cack!
