Pride before the fall! It would be better to leave threads like this until the season is over, it's just tempting fate. Last season at this time Portsmouth and Bournemouth were doing the same thing look what's happened since.

Sorry Derry, couldn't disagree more! It's banter, it's what goes on, everywhere. It's part of the fun of being a football fan, sometimes you gloat, sometimes you are gloated at(?).

I think it's possible to take thing too seriously you know.

Of course it is. Glad you get it.

Many on here may not wish to read this. I spoke to a guy that went to the Scum match yesterday. His verdict. They move the ball crisply with purpose. Every player looks comfortable, score goals at will and look destined for greater things. Oh, and the anti Pompey chants are far superior to our bog standard stand up. I genuinely fear for us on December 17 (footie only) if that basket case of a worzel is till in charge.

Praying that Cotterill stays there (don't get rid of him just before Dec 18!).

He is fast becoming a Saints legend, and his excuse list is phenomenal. They were tired after playing 3 games in 8 days, bless them.

But even then we were all pretty sure it wouldn't last. This time round... we're becoming more convinced. For a start they have to win 5 straight with us losing them all just to get ahead...

and with us at home to Peterborough and Pompey away to Palace on Tuesday there's every chance the gap will get even wider very soon

Just had a look through Pompey's results. They have only managed 2 points against teams in the top half this season, late equalisers against 'boro (injury time) and Cardiff. Been beaten already by Hull, Leeds, Posh, Wham, Brighton, Ipswich and Derby. Yet to play Saints Palace and Brum.
