sussexsaint Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 16 straight home wins Un -be-fuc-k-in-leavable Happiest I have been as a Saints fan for 35 years and its my birthday
Dr Who? Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Keep the faith and keep playing football, it will come through in the end, as we seem to play football very well!!
DG Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Our home run is amazing. Looking forward to the back from the game thread.
gjphilsaint Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Well Happy Birthday to you... 16 straight home wins Un -be-fuc-k-in-leavable Happiest I have been as a Saints fan for 35 years and its my birthday
Saints Fan Dan Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 4 goals, clean sheet, 2 more for Lambert, Brighton and Pompey lose. PERFECT.
chocco boxo Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Had to work today, great being a Saints fan on overtime!
pap Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Excellent result, but some of our fans on Twitter need to rein this Brighton rivalry in. Well done to all at the club for this amazing run of 16 consecutive home wins.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Ecstatic and top of the league for another two weeks as a minimum! Keeping all our records going home wins, win half time and win full time, best start to a season, score in every game this season
Nexstar Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 By my calculations the last time we lost a league game after scoring first was September 29th 2009.
Ohio Saint Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Excellent result, but some of our fans on Twitter need to rein this Brighton rivalry in. Well done to all at the club for this amazing run of 16 consecutive home wins. With all due respect. Twitter has nothing to do with the real world.
Saint J 77 Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Ecstatic and top of the league for another two weeks as a minimum! Keeping all our records going home wins, win half time and win full time, best start to a season, score in every game this season Unless Derby thrash Leicester away this evening, lets hope not though And to think I was really happy the day we got out of the league 1 drop zone after finally over turning our -10 points. Going into the international break top of the championship is giving me that awesome feeling again
CB Fry Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Our goal difference, after ten games, is plus thirteen. Jesus we're good.
Viking Warrior Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 The Spirit of Southampton has finally returned Still listening to Saints player. one skat fan has suggested bringing in Dave Jones Would he go there ? I guess he might if he needs the work
saints-cris Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 What a time to be a Saints fan, i just love it. We are so ridiculously good at home, fortress St Mary's is such a blessing. A great win today, and really happy for Holmes to get a goal too. Gutted theres a break now, I want us to keep playing!
Viking Warrior Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 PS Happy Birthday Sussexsaint. what a present for you
Stepgar Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Sunded brilliant second half hit the bar/post very near misses etc. Really culd have been a cricket score. Just hope we have a good break keep working hard on the fitness side of things keep our feet firmly on the ground and take this form into some crunch games when we return. Derby/West Ham etc that's where we need to take points as tha is where we can really make strides and possibly create some daylight between the chasing pack. Happy weekend everyone.
Ohio Saint Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Sounds like NA is very impressed with De Ridder in the interview.
pap Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 With all due respect. Twitter has nothing to do with the real world. While I respect your views on Twitter, Ohio Saint, not everyone dismisses it as easily. It's a big deal. I completely agree that there is a load of ****e out there atm, but I've seen people accuse Saints fans of being arrogant because of what they've said on Twitter. Now, can't speak for everyone, but I actually think that we, especially us who've been turning up to places like Rochdale, are a pretty humble group of supporters. We've kinda had to be. I've always liked the fact that we've had respect from other teams. Triumphalist rantings directed toward Brighton, of all teams, doesn't really help that.
LaptopSaint Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Song for Lee Holmes? Oh Holmesy Holmesy You always used to be injured But now it seems you're not
Ewell Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Great result. The league table also starts to sort itself out after 10 games, good times!
pap Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Song for Lee Holmes? Oh Holmesy Holmesy You always used to be injured But now it seems you're not E.J Thribbs?
Ohio Saint Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 While I respect your views on Twitter, Ohio Saint, not everyone dismisses it as easily. It's a big deal. . I work for Google. I have to deal with social networks every day. I'm just jaded.
gaz Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Love it! 4-0! Clean sheet! Pompey lose! Its warm and sunny outside! Perfect day!
Viking Warrior Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Laptopsaint dont give up your day job with lyrics like that ,

Watching Everton fans pelt the Liverpool players with bottles and coins this afternoon really made me think that we still have massive problems at some grounds / games. As pap says - when you're on top, a little bit of humility goes a long long way. Well done to the players today - top result, and sounded like a really impressive win.
LaptopSaint Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Tough little four game run coming up after the break. Derby away, West Ham home, Reading away, Boro at home. If we're still top after that lot I'll be well pleased. And I think we can do it.
Professor Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 17.44 Derby just gone a goal behind at Leicester. That'll do, blow for time............. (Yes, I know........)
mcjwills Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Great game, just got home, brilliant second half and just seen the goals on skysports news. Oh happy days !!!!!
Jez Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Just seen the goals on SSN. 2 quality penalties from Lambert, both very different, very well taken goal from Guly and slight deflection on Holmes strike. Good times!!
niceandfriendly Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Brilliant, was watching the results come in whilst sat in a rooftop bar with Arctic Monkeys and Oasis on the stereo. Crackin' evening. Oh and Mansfield got a point away from home with only 10 men to top off the night. Love Saints, but right now, I could marry them.
Window Cleaner Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 2-0 Foxes now. Great day. Would be handy if Derby could peg them back and get a draw. Leicester will get better and better.
Norm Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 16 straight home wins Un -be-fuc-k-in-leavable Happiest I have been as a Saints fan for 35 years and its my birthday Happy Birthday! Did you get your bus pass in the post with your birthday cards?
bpsaint Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 One of the best halves I've seen at St Marys in the 2nd, genuinely could of had six or seven. Was gutted we hit the post afer that 15 or so passing movement, would have been a hell of a goal! As would Chaplows shot that came back off the woodwork. So pleased for Holmes getting on the scoresheet after the crap luck he's had over the years. I believe he could become an important player if he stays fit.
sfc4prem Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 Really dIdnt need to play that well, Watford were poor. Flashes of brilliance but amazing to win 4-0 without playing our best, could have easily been 6 or 7 too. Still, worried by defence. Watford created nothing, yet we gave them 4 or 5 good chances through suicidal overplaying and Davis's decision making in distribution remained poor. Still, very easy win overall and flashes of brilliant quality. Makes you wonder what we could do to a team if we hit top form and took all our chances. De ridders pace added a good threat but I think they need to get used to playing with him. Mate, this is the Championship. EVERY team will get chances every now and again. Plus, Hooiveld and Fox are new to the defence. A whole new left side of the defence will need time to settle. The fortress of Rome wasn't built in a day.
alpine_saint Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 4 goals, clean sheet, 2 more for Lambert, Brighton and Pompey lose. PERFECT. And now Derby on their way to defeat. A perfect Saturday. (still a little bit worried about our capability to get results against top-half teams...)
Thedelldays Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 And now Derby on their way to defeat. A perfect Saturday. (still a little bit worried about our capability to get results against top-half teams...) i may be wronh but we have won 2 out of the 3 games we have played against top half teams..???
Minsk Posted 1 October, 2011 Posted 1 October, 2011 If only we had signed that new striker........... What an excellent result, with the added bonus of a Skate defeat. Fantastic feeling to be top of the league, especially going into a 2 week break.
