It was unnecessary for MLT to post that tweet. It's got nothing to do with him. I'd rather NC hadn't raked it all up again last weekend. I'd rather everyone would stop giving it the coverage it really, really doesn't deserve.

So surely he has reached an out of court settlement with Southampton Football club not NC, I seriously doubt NC has had anything to do with it the legal department will have handled the whole thing with an agreed budget. Brinksmanship is common place in all sorts of cases the number that are settled just before the case is ridiculous and a total waste of court time personally I'd fine Wally for wasting the courts time. I'm not convinced it's MLT using that twitter account it just seems weirdly out of character, wish they'd kiss and make up though MLT is Southampton football club to me and it's such a shame for him not to be involved anymore.

He should just fade into the background and accept that he is just another ex-player who was rewarded handsomely for his services but is no longer part up of the set up. ..although given MLT is a more recent legend and still in most folks memories it could be argued that he is still represents what SFC is all about to many fans... this has nothing to do with freebie tickets - more likely a legacy of failed pinnacle bid and the subsequent criticisms of the club by LM and MLT especially when Pards was sacked... ... The problem for me, and i think many is that by involving themselves in these public spats it erodes some of the high regard these legends are held in... we tend to hold players and managers with more affection given their mor obvious contribution and so its more painful seeing this happen in public. With chairman, its different, as I think most dont expect them to get everything right, and accept that its probably impossible to do so, if there is a single vision and bloody minded determination to succeed... which is how they should opperate, but it means its far more difficult to hold Chairman in the same level of esteam as players... so in a way its why its less of 'shock' or disspointment when a chairman does this than a player.... on the flip side most would be naturally far more forgiving of players who cross the line than say NC, because of that aforementioned affection.... ultimately though, dispassionately with resepct to teh spat they are jsut as bad as each other... so for me if forced to chose (which is bloody unfair), i have to side with NC, simply because he is the here and now and is getting things right more often than worng IMHO. I have absolutely no knowledge of why Pards 'had to go' (in NC's own words), and am not interested in rumour and gossip, but the sad fact is that when managers go, so often do the backrrom staff and its not exactly a big deal and very common for those dismissed to go for wrongful dismissal as it provides better pay offs than just the contract term... espciallly if not on a fixed contract... 'a case of nothing to see here' and fuss over nothing.

Does this logic apply to NC, or is he still fair game for abuse by the Cortese'aters on here?

But if you want to use this as another NC beater....

But if you want to use this as another NC beater.... who has mentioned NC? i was just asking JustMike who arranged the thing whats the situation with it? all that fuss about design, and it being something "done by the fans" has just been taken in by the club who decide when and what is done with it, hardly a fans iniative at all.

So the fans flag has basically been put in storage, fair enough, but to confirm the fans who paid for it now have no say in when it can be used?

Yeah didn't think so.... My personal opinion is that with every remark like this the more i think MLT just needs to go away now. It doesn't do anyone any good having a public feud. It is petty and stupid. Stop using the media/social networking to snipe. Great player but needs to grow up. There is an element of irony in this post that is not lost on me
