The reality check was on Saturday- we were awful against Burnley and sounds like more of the same tonight... We are over-reliant on Lallana.. 12 goals conceded now- worst of the top 7 teams- says it all..

Why do we NEVER seem to get anything from a corner? We have one of the most prolific scorers from heading the ball - two CB's with good heading abiity, yet the ball never seems to get to them!

Apart from all last season, you mean?

We scored a fair few from corners last season, and I think we have a couple this year too.

If it makes you feel better about us being handed a footballing lesson with a side order of cold reality, friend....

How was it a footballing lesson? A hoof-header goal and a sloppy pass from a CB?

Oh well, it's only our second defeat of the season. I think everyone should tight for the pressures of this league from now on. It sounds as we've been pretty poor, unlike our previous defeat against Leicester, and this when the players need to stand up and put this performance behind them.

Guly it seems has been pretty poor this evening and it's not the first game recently that he's sub-standard. De Ridder has come on - made an impact immediately - and now deserves a start. I think Adkins unfortunately made a mistake taking off Connolly tonight - should have been Guly.

I said we'd lose at Burnley and we got a point which was good. However, I never thought we'd get anything out of a midweek fixture away at Cardiff. The honeymoon period is over and the bubble has burst. It was a cracking start and very enjoyable but I think we'll start to see things in a different light over the next couple of months.

We haven't been handed a lesson at all, have you listened to it?

We were always going to lose games this year, probably more games than last season as the quality has risen dramatically. As well as we started, it wasn't going to stay like that all season unfortunately as this is a tough league.

What's with all the "honey moon over" crap.

We could have gone 1-0 up with a penalty but within 15 seconds we were 0-1 down with a hoof and a header.

Such is the knife edge of a good division, but "honeymoon over" FFS?

Are you listening to Solent?

Because according to the BBC we are all over Cardiff and have simply missed sitters.
