So many people have taken it wrong

It's all been blown out of proportion, but it suits the agenda of certain posters which is why it's at the forefront of debate at the moment.

When Benali made himself look like a bitter, unprofessional idiot live on Soccer AM it didn't have a reaction like this. If Cortese had done the same, the forum would have crashed.

People don't like Cortese and this is a perfect opportunity to attack him, perfect.

Why don't people get that 99% of fans:

1. Support Cortese.

2. Adore MLT.

3. Are grateful to LM for the best years of football this club enjoyed.

And would simply like to see them sort out this nonsense?

Indeed and does anyone know anyone in a position who could bring all these warring parties together and knock some sense in to them????

We've had this conversation before and there's only one entity with the power to do that.

But it has to be fan-organized, not media-organized, which means some kind of petition. And then we all cringe at the thought of deciding who the organizers will be.

I was thinking more of Rob Bransgrove, or a local businessman who still puts money in the Club, someone in the media who ahs links on both sides??

Surprise, same old people again.

One day they'll be the fan on the board - they just have to get rid of that nasty Italian-Swiss banker.

I'm not sufficiently in-tune from this distance to know about people like that, um, but right now I'd give anything a shot. Whoever it is will need the patience and serenity of the late J. Christ of Bethlehem (if that isn't going to anger the PC lot these days). Why don't you give him a call. Bransgrove that is, not JC! ;)

99% can see beyond the Stelling rant and still love MLT and appreciate Cortese's work, the other 1% are the supa-dupa fans who want to be "the fan on the board" and always make a drama out of everything. To them, a chairman is constantly a pantomine villain and only they, the supa-dupa fan with a pulse on finance, economy, economics, football, education, politics and democracy can save the club from certain implosion...

You also forgot that the 1% are dark forces with an agenda.

Most people do that. Unfortunately there are people like DellDays mentions who can't work out for themselves that there are shades of grey in every debate and therefore have to polarise opinion into bite size chunks that they can understand. Hence completely needless sh*t threads like this one, which prove nothing at all and go nowhere.

Sh*t i just got suckered into the nonsense. B*llocks.

The situation on this site is not helped by those messagers who have more than one name on this forum. I know of people on here with at least 3 names and three different personas. I have even seen a person on here arguing with themselves. That combined with people who just deliberately enjoy stirring up trouble, and you have an exaggeratted distorted view of peoples true opinions. A forum is not the place to gain a true feeling/reaction/finger on pulse assessment of peoples opinions due to the anonymity factor. When I talk to live human beings at work/socially/games I don't get this strong undercurrent of anti Cortese sentiment. It's only on here that trolls, mischief makers and other persons with agendas are so vehemently vocalised for or against Cortese/LM/MLT ETC ETC.

Exactly what's needed but can't see it happening. I love Cortese, but how he can allow this situation to people who have done so much for this club to carry on is ridiculous. We all want the same, don't we?.

... seems to me, both parties are part if SFC. Both parties have done great things for the club. Both Parties have made a few mistakes... end of. That's life. The polarisation suits certain agendas of a tiny minority, but for most which side you come down on (none of us can help it, it's natural) is whether you value teh past more than the future... no right or wrong, just different perspectives. I tend to look forward

I don't think there is one person on here who is not happy with the club at the moment. I am over the moon with the team and the way it is being run.

It is possible to criticise Cortese on certain issues and still be very happy, problem is some people are scared of expressing an honest opinion in case they upset a few happy clappy mongs.
